After the floods of about 13 years ago I saw some fella interviewed on the telly as he'd "flood-proofed" his house.
His whole ground floor was all wipe down tiles, with a drain in the middle of the floor which could be opened to make the water disappear. All his plugs had been reset to about 4' above floor level. He had other things in place too, but he could flood to about 4' deep then just open the drain point in the floor, the clean/spray it all down until next time

I think that was the inventor of the clockwork radio, Trevor Baylis. Lived on an island on the Thames (Eel Pie Island) not the one my relatives live on.

    37 out of 40 here.

35 for us. I wonder if OH would come up with the same score? I'll ask him.

I scored DH and I thirty seven on those horrid multiple choices. Seems good. To get forty would be I think pretty intolerably smug.

Like you I'll see if fir will do it and see what he gets.
  • With most of them, I felt hesitant to say "always", because although OH and I do communicate pretty well, share common goals, and respect each other, and so forth, it's "pretty much all the time" rather than "absolutely 100% of the time".

    You'd never tell I was a lawyer.....

Yes, my default is you can never be 100 percent. But then you can never be one hundred percent that you can never be 100 percent either. :rotfl:

I personally think for me to score any higher would be poor, its good to have something to work on, to feel its too perfect would be dangerous. Its pretty good though :D. I was proud that sil in her break up cited our relationship's functionality really, because its all I care about from his family, that they know he is in his relationship with me happy. They don't have to like me so long as they accept he does. :D.

Oh, forgot to say, big dog looks amazing from her trip to the hairdressers. They had work experience people in and they all loved big dog and she liked the fuss of them. She is super shiny and a bit too soft, so I think she got seriously brushed lol.

Because the kiwi is in a state this time I said....do you best but if we lose the coat we lose it. A happy dog is better than one who hates being brushed IMO. We lost the coat, :(. His face looks silly.

In my garden hacking/slashing toolkit is now a shiny new very cheap machete.

It's funny how relatives giggle then back away slowly when they see me with it:D

    They know me too well...

( I haven't actually tried it yet, but my hunch is that this isn't going to work well for bramble, but it might make for much more entertaining hedge cutting for the neigbours they-who-already-think-we-are-mad)
