DW gets back, on one account she gets paid interest in August for 'year to date'. Thus in theory most of the interest covers the previous tax year period and a little bit coves the current tax year of that makes sense. So I could complete thetax return as if it were all earned in the year it was paid or I coudl try to 'accrue' it over the two years.
Mental note, never agree if GDB suggests a game of Mornington Crescent0 -

Put the interest in the tax year that you get it. Accruels are messy.
PN, your bank should produce a statement each year of the interest earned and the tax paid, you shouldn't need to trawl through each statement.Try turning off any pop-up blockers

I've tried having one box that's "You need that for the tax returns" and lobbing all bank letters/statements in there too - trouble is, when that box has to be hidden away/shoved out of sight for a property inspection (it starts in the middle of the floor) .... then, over time, things aren't as nicely organised as I'd like. Once tucked away, newly arriving mail gets put in a pile of "Oh ... need that for tax return, needs to go in the box - oh, no box .... I'll just put it down here for now then" ..... and another pile accumulates... then there's another property inspection and that pile gets grabbed and put "out of sight".0 -

Just pressed submit in the end. I think you can go back and view past years anyway.0 -
If I had a study/office, with a desk and a shelf and a filing cabinet ..... it'd all be in the right place, all sorted, labelled, organised and instantly to hand.0

I'm not sure what's in your grit. Is it salt? Does it melt (edit: er, become a saline solution in water)?“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Edit 2: Not sure I understand how/where to pay.... all looks odd/strange and I can't even, yet, find the bit where you actually pay.
Edit 3: I'm sure when I logged onto HMRC there was a link to pay money .... I'll log out, then log in and see if that leads somewhere I can understand0
