We have a sure sign that it is going to be freezing overnight, when the gritting lorry comes down our road. They do not usually bother with us, so when they do it means it is going to be properly frizz!
We had a gritting lorry at the weekend.
DH said ' what the hell is that' :rotfl: As the lights illuminated our room. I found this ridiculously funny.:o0 -

not only do we have mother-in-law staying with us at the moment, but we also have mother-in-law's mutt. We needed some stuff from local shops, so I took the mutt with me for a walk. She did not appreciate being tied up in the rain outside the shops, and I do not think she has forgiven me yet!
Doozerdog doesn't like going to the shop at all. As soon as he twigs that's where we're going, he starts trying to turn home! Maybe it isn't just the rain that mutt dislikes?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

On the subject of shampoo, do the men here have their own shampoo or use shampoo belonging to women in the house?
I really don't like what we have in at the moment and it occurred to me that there isn't really any shampoo marketed at men who, whilst not obsessive about their hair, like it looking good and do care about it.
I buy my own. Or more I use the stuff people gave me at christmas!
It tired to snow here this morning...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Are you ok? I don't understand your post. Have you had bad news, are you feeling poorly or both?

From my prior experience of this thread this is a trick question because even if you get it for free by stealing from a hotel you still get posh alerted for staying at the hotel in the first place.
I once got a special perpermint shampoo from a hairdressers that was a definite posh alert. It was really nice smelling. I never found it again
Since then... horrible, chemist shop shampoo that does the job.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Hm,that doesn't sound good. Have you thought about making an appointment at the doctors just to check you're OK?
And rest and relaxation too, of course.
Hope you feel better soon.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

.
Spot on.... only posh hotels give free shampoo these days. For me, even Travelodge is expensive and they don't give freebies.0 -

I know what it was .... anxiety of today's appointment, the environment of the room (no windows), brightness of the lights, then darkness.... not knowing what to expect, never expecting a test to be that comprehensive etc.... and I have a "thing about eyes" - could never wear contacts, so when he shone the light and I could see the reflection of my eyes and blood vessels showing up like a dry/cracked riverbed ..... for what seemed like ages...... I went into shutdown
