I will admit to using what I consider to be a "posh shower gel". Original Source. I wait until it's £1 in the supermarkets, or get it in the £1 shop.

    I use one bottle/year.

No, not registered with Dr here.... one I went to for my leg is 8 miles away.

I know what it was .... anxiety of today's appointment, the environment of the room (no windows), brightness of the lights, then darkness.... not knowing what to expect, never expecting a test to be that comprehensive etc.... and I have a "thing about eyes" - could never wear contacts, so when he shone the light and I could see the reflection of my eyes and blood vessels showing up like a dry/cracked riverbed ..... for what seemed like ages...... I went into shutdown :)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates that bit. Plus it makes my eyes water like a river and I have to grab the box of tissues.....

Elsewhere: One wonders if her ladyship is soon to give a dinner party where some of the guests may be challenging and so she is practising being the disarming host putting everyone at their ease. I am not complaining, I think it is wonderful....but very posh indeed :)
    I think....

Yeah, that test is not my favorite, but just ask for the glaucoma test if you want a horrid time of it.

Spot on.... only posh hotels give free shampoo these days. For me, even Travelodge is expensive and they don't give freebies.

You got me thinking about 'posh' Hotels and I was trying to work out the poshest Hotel I've stayed in.

I occasionally used to splurge on a good Hotel (once in a while) when I was doing a lot of travelling. This one's the most expensive I've stayed in, but was worth every penny for the experience. I got a good deal as I stayed there just after 9/11

A cheap room is now £500 a night!

I have to wash my hair every day :( Looks very lank and greasy if I don't.
They say that the reason it looks greasy is your head is having to produce loads of oil because you keep washing it out.

One day, when you're not doing ainything for a few days, try leaving it and see what happens.

And/or, use less shampoo, or a less strong one.

I don't stay in hotels. When I relocated a few years back I chose to book into a hotel to live in until I could graduate to a shared house..... I got a bit lucky... the decor was definitely 1980s (not decorated since) and the shower room was really old and orange - and the shower was really quite manky, but a good size... and it was en-suite. I got put into a family room, not a single, so I had a big attic room.

Bed and cooked breakfast £20/night :)

I did take some photos of the carpet/wallpaper... might see if I can dig those out.

OK, I'll see a local Doctor.

I'm fine. Honest - it was a combination of anxiety and the room environment, and the eyes thing .... and fear of results. Nothing more.

I felt quite pleased I'd managed to tell him just before I slumped..

It did make me realise how tough it is being single/alone though. There I was, car's up the road in a 3-hours only slot .... so I had to feel/get better in order to drive home.... also needed the loo badly. So I got to Tesco (luckily just half a mile away from where I'd parked) .... and then I knew I could sit in the car park as long as I wanted.... and then it was just 4 miles home.

Ok, promise? I really can come and drag you some where on Saturday.........

Not sure what you are talking about so cannot comment.

I got a good result at eye clinic where they do normal eye tests but am wondering if I should pop and see a normal optician anyway for normal tests?

Nothing interesting, just some background to stop people worrying.

I think you should. The eye clinic will be thorough, but probably only check those things related to your symptoms.

And eye tests are important because they can find cancer, and diabetes, and all kind of other things.

Edit: I have a question. If you thank a post, and the user deletes it, does the thank still count in your "Thanked XX,XXX" statistic?
