Anyone else seen the Mitchell and Webb sketch, "The Boy With an !!!! for a Face"?

I think you should just get the practice :D

    No thank you:)

Actually, at my age group the single most important cancer test is testicular self examination, which no one teaches young men how to do.

  • In terms of posh alerts, how much do you have to spend on shampoo or conditioner to qualify?

I've just used a John Lewis voucher from Christmas to buy some snake oil magic shampoo and conditioner, to make me feel less grumpy and cross, and having used it this evening, my hair does feel really nice.

OH took the p!ss, though, because of me falling for it.......

So e men have so's to do it for the m. :D. I think I read more likely to be picked up by a partner? Fwiw no one showed me either....and yeah, found one something on DH, it was nothing serious at all.

We have a funky medical check at the totm I check my breasts fwiw. Its a sort of diary note. Noticed nothing since last time, lets do a formal check ( including a mole check viva ;) ) but not a prostate check Tom. . Its good fun. Its never that fun at the doctors. And it gets more fun as we keep checking.....

For singles, its easier for 'women of childbearing age' I guess as there s a sort of a reminder that there is a good time to check.

    Men.....

    When do you check?

I hadn't but now found a whole youtube list of sketches by them I 'll have to force myself to not watch or I'll never get back to RL.

When I had storage heaters, they were the originals, filled with dust, from when the flat was built, in the late 70s/early 80s.

Many people agree that storage heaters aren't much good if you're out all day as that's when they're giving out the cheap heat - but if you're at work all day you're missing it.

I like to turn heat on when I need it, not have to guess the day before and leave it on overnight to charge up. Some days I need none, some days I might want just one hour ... won't know until it happens, on the day, at the precise moment I think "bit nippy"

Where we are we don't have gas as an option, so it's always down to what you can work with. Having said that, until the fire we were pretty happy with the storage heaters. The bills are pretty cheap, and having E10 we get cheap day heat too. The new ones should work out better for us, we can just stick the heater on the appropriate setting and that's what it will always be.

Having heating on overnight not an issue. DH gets up early for work, I often stay up late, so there's probably only 4-5 hours per day that we are both in bed. It will work for us, but more important, it will be safe.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

    What is it?

If you can afford it and it cheers you up while you are suffering with the sickness what's the issue? Sometimes its not shampoo, its 'soul medicine' ;)

I use a mixture of stuff, cheap and not cheap. If it works it works.

DH discovered that moisturiser is ace for his curls, so I tried that this week as a pre wash treatment, but not sure it came out very well ( because I don't shampoo) its really made my hair happy though. :o.

For moles, a good way to test is to take a pencil with an eraser on the end and cover mole. A pencil eraser diameter is approx 6mm, where Mel starts to be worrisome. Not only that, but covered with a very symmetrical eraser, it is much easier to see asymmetry.

I'm still hoping one day someone will invent a boob shaped mammogram.

  • I did have to buy a new one, because my usual shampoo smelt horrible to me at the moment. Not so much using it, but afterwards, the smell of my hair wasn't nice (to me a the moment, I liked it before).

It's called Kerastase Resistance Bain De Force (shampoo), and Kerastase Resistance Ciment Anti-Usure (conditioner). Both on special offer, so I save a fortune! My hair feels really soft, and smells nice, so that's a result (-:

I have used karastase in the past. Its a good make if it suits your hair. He's sniggering is misplaced, its made you feel good. :)

Maybe if you go and sit on his knee and let your nice smelling long hair swish forward he'll change his mind a little? :D
