I've been absent because I write on a site .... and got into a "top spot", so had to maintain that .... and it happened the next day ... and the next ... and now it's the 4th day - and, in addition, yesterday's top post is now also in one of the 7 weekly top spots.

So, milking the opportunity that is giving..... also signed up for a mystery shop tomorrow, quick £20 income there to be had!

My good little geese came in by themselves tonight (they often need herding in).

That usually means its going to be cold!

The shop is an appointment for a useful service... obviously I can't say what it is here, but it's not food or pie eating at all.

Weight loss is confirmed by tape (lost an inch from waist) and the fact two other people weigh more on the new scales than old.

    :j:j:j:T:T:T Well done then. :)
No, I was telling a bad story from 3 years ago :)

Good. Here's hoping you have some peace and calm with nothing else going wrong for your parent. :)

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

It's not lucrative "as is", but did generate me some exposure. Total value of spending 12-15 hours checking, documenting stats etc ... is about £8.

    :)

But I learned how to game the system, which is invaluable as I can give away half my secrets to get more exposure ... while keeping the real killer secrets to myself

I hope that includes 'our' secret, PN ;)

What a miserable day. I don't think it ever stopped raining here....and with temperatures round 3-4..brrr..

I'm looking forward to the announced cold snap if it means it will stop raining for a while!

It's been bitter here as well. Walked the dog, he did his biz and turned back pdq.

Pleased to find out the air traffic strike over Europe ends on Thursday! Also wondering whether pre-booking restaurants and tours is necessary at this time of year.

The weather here is really cold too, colder than there and I am supposedly in the tropics. It's so strange seeing the plants everywhere covered in frost blankets. Still, I don't have flu anymore, so that's a positive.

I asked mum if dog had the killer thing and she said that the vet didn't know, not ruled in or out, so clear as mud...

It's boiling here so on average we are both comfortable.

I'm sitting at the bus stop and a pine cone weighing about 4-5lbs and perhaps a foot long just fell out of the tree next to me. It gave me a hell of a shock!
