They've done other covers of Avicii etc.

Do they have Spotify or Grooveshark in Aus? Is Jools Holland's TV show view-able there?
    :T

We have Spotify (which I use a lot) plus some local mini-mes. I've never heard of Grooveshark.

Jools isn't on TV here much which is very much Australia's loss. I was a huge fan of both Squeeze and The Tube. I can still remember the end of the last edition of The Tube when Jools helpfully demonstrated how to recreate The Tube in your living room, "All you need is a pianist, a grand piano, loads of drumsticks and all the members of Aswad...".

I always thought this was quite clever (not just because of girls in underwear):

Our scales broke down just before christmas and I finally got around to buying some more. I lost 6lb since Christmas eve. So, pretty happy about that :)

Or perhaps your aging scales were becoming less accurate and telling you that you were heavier than you really are, whereas the new ones are correctly calibrated and are giving you an accurate measurement. Either way, glad you're happy with the new number. :)
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Weight loss is confirmed by tape (lost an inch from waist) and the fact two other people weigh more on the new scales than old.

There is no good or bad music, just as there are no good or bad colours.

Toploader are the exception that prove this rule. They are just plain bad.

It's been a while since I've discussed Toploader (and how awful they are) quite so much! :rotfl:

Hmm. I read an interesting article once, about how to trick your eyes to see colours that should be impossible to see. http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/seeing-forbidden-colors/

It struck me that some things like that were probably impossible for a reason. Having heard the Birdie song I kind of wished that was the auditory equivalent of one of those hues.:(

Oh wow, I'm going to try this!

As an undergrad I was an assistant to some one doing a study on colour vision in horses. Its not really my thing, but it was still interesting. Basically we seemed to be spending the time making horses trip over. :o

I'm afraid you'd have to track down a hard copy of the article (I read it while travelling yonks ago and didn't have time to explore it fully) and/or find a library with back issues.

Anyhoo another good online service for music is this:
