The Toploader version makes me feel quite nauseous, really don't think I could handle the original.

As for the comment about age, I don't buy it. A liking for rubbish music must have always been there. You just did a better job of hiding it!

of course. i'm just not worried about admitting it any more.

I think it's because in my head, it is still 1987/8 and I am 17/18 years old and going to gigs, not 2014, nearly 44...but still going to gigs, only very recently started going again :rotfl:

What gigs have you been to recently, Sue?
The last one I've been to was John McLaughlin in the Barbican, probably a year or so ago. It was okay.

WHERE DID YOU EVEN FIND THAT?!

I have the mother of a headache and that was like shoving knitting needles into my brain.

I don't have anything against Toploader, or their version of that song. But that, that, was bad.

Nope I first posted on these threads around about NP 3 or 4 in summer '11. Rarely ventured out of the Arms before that. there were hilarious theads back then now mostly deleted (as everybody noticed a while back that I've been thanked in more posts than I've apparently posted).

Despite liking the music threads (this is easily my favourite) I wonder how many other posters will own up to not being familiar with toploader? :o

I'm not falling for that either, no way I'm clicking on the link. Don't want nightmares. Or for my internet provider to put me on some list if proper who need their connection blocking for their own good/ that of society.

Only local bands although James has treated me to a ticket to see McBusted for my birthday...ok, not my usual stuff but they're a lot of fun.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Lydia, I think the thing pn has posted and removed was a reference to the past not a present crisis.

    Thanks lir. :)

Do we? That's news to me. :D

"We all..." was an abbreviation for "I do, and I know of at least two other people who do, and I don't know of anybody who doesn't", not a claim to know the opinion of every NP. ;)

I'll admit never having heard of them.

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Been busy lately... The good news is that mum got a retirement flat, and that's such a relief.:)
So I had to spend some time there to empty the parental home, help with the move and sell the house.

When my dad does finally move out of his house, the job of clearing it and preparing it for sale is going to be a mammoth task. Mercifully there are four of us, so it won't all be my responsibility.

You're the same age as me. My mum did take it.

Do we ask if you were affected by it? Don't answer that if you'd rather not.

My mum was offered it for my brother but didn't take it. She wasn't particularly sick with any of her pregnancies, and neither was I with mine. I think these things have much more to do with the mother than the baby. Mothers who are vilely sick with one pregnancy are often vilely sick with all or most of their others, and mothers who aren't with one generally aren't with the rest either. Same goes for stretch marks and a bunch of other stuff.
