chalets have changed a bit since i last went skiing.
I know where there was a mobile home hoisted up onto a roof as an extension, except it overhangs the original walls by 1' or so.
You should be able to see it on the right in this streetview link: http://goo.gl/maps/WFZze0 -

Its amazing how much dirt can come off one dog. Kiwi is now not talking to me and I'm about to be amazed at how much dirt can come of one woman whose cleaned one dog.0

My Dad's much meaner than you, LIR. He hoses the collies down if they get too muddy or (Doglet's particular vice) roll in fox muck.
Isaac and Bruv played / practised football most days over the Christmas / New Year break, in what was previously the garden, and was at the time a marsh. The day they were doing goalie-type stuff, Dad threatened to hose them down before they came in, and Mama did insist they both strip to pants in the scullery, rather than go anywhere in the rest of the house as mud statues. Isaac thought it was hysterical, his 29 year old uncle being ordered to strip in the same way as his 8 year old self (-:
This was early on the session. They were already pretty wet, as it was raining, but not yet completely covered in mud. Yours truly thought better of watching, and repaired indoors for a mug of tea and chat with Mama....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Kiwi has special hair.....it needs to be teased out of matts delicately.
I happily hose in summer, and hose legs in winter, maybe even under bellies , but not more than that. Not in a cold house especially. Collies are pretty hardy. Kiwis are tough but have coat constraints, and I don't particularly fancy ear problems either.
Edit...I wish kiwi would meet me half way ..and avoid getting his hair in matts and muddy tangles.0 -

Ours does that. Frankly makes me wonder if I'm the right temperament to be a dog owner.:mad:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Is Thornton Heath an okay area, or a bit rough? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
