You'd need to say it in a rather fake south London / black accent, though, really.

"Dat's me Momma's udder babydad" would do.

I absolutely loathe the words "babymomma" and "babydad". Yuck.

I believe jafaican is what what you're referring to. I used to teach a whole bunch of students who attended the real school that fictional Ali G went to.

I used to wonder how the Normans, if they were originally norse, had picked up French so thoroughly. Until somebody pointed out that the ones who invaded England had grandparents whose own grandparents had grandparents whose grandparents also had grandparents whose grandparents would remember leaving Norway. ;)

They're more common in Ireland, but they're in treble figures in the UK.

I've been inside one, not there but in the US. Visiting a relative in Philly. A huge Victorian house, I'm glad to say since most American houses seem to be wood and just seem to disappear during tornadoes. The storm outside went green and the rain seemed to become horizontal.

My cousins went around and secured all the windows and doors without much fuss.

When it was over we went for a walk around the area. The fire brigade were out everywhere, as trees had come down.

As we passed the fire station I glanced in the window and saw the TV the crew must have been watching. It was the Bill! Filmed in my corner of London. I never knew any British TV was seen in the US!

Wish I had - sadly, "babydad" and "babymomma" are actual words used by a section of the young population (-:

When you hear this point out to those saying it that they are not being true to their roots and a real Jamaican would only use Babymother and Babyfather.
    I think....

I'm a bit annoyed. 14 days ago I borrowed a ladder and changed my lightbulbs. One of them's already blown!

But I doubt that you would need to run your washing machine 3 to 4 times a day?

Washing machines are free. I just got one from some chap in east finchley through freecycle. Don't need it so I popped it on eBay.

OH is making Anzac biscuits for Australia Day. I tried to make them for her a couple of years ago but my amateurish approach to baking failed miserably - I thought I would double the amount of golden syrup because I like golden syrup. It didn't work out well!
No, that's the beer drinking equivalent of putting two pints into your pint glass as you like beer.... just ends up making a mess.
