    Nikkster.

I think your mind is telling you its got over the last phase of life and ready for the next, that's all. I think its a good sign and to be embraced. Minds are weird....they rare just lay it out there, there has to be some sort of mystery tour....

Oh lir. You are probably annoyingly right. :)
I guess I've just put down the firmest roots I could, and now I need to do something about trying to build up the rest of a life around those roots.

That and things will feel better when I'm not fighting the urge to hibernate, and things have settled down financially (I know its never going to be the same again, but I'm still paying extra for some bills to catch up for the time it took them to get set up).

Have at least one thing to get sorted first (might take a bit of courage to confront), then I will try and grow some leaves to go with my roots :)

Had a bad night's sleep, now all achey and groggy and not wanting to drive and see that house in an hour or so's time

I was going to say 'don't go', but I went to see houses I. definitely wasn't interested in to keep in threw mind of the annoying estate agents. That included a new build a good 3 miles out of town (i.e. The opposite of what I was after). Drove all the way there after getting upespecially early on a Sat morning. Only to get a call saying that the h house had just give under offer. They were already my least favourite agents.

She returned to work yesterday - and seemed OK. It is the reduced 'function' that is tricky as I am not sure she can 'think'.

We tell each other we love each other and are a very tactile family, hug, kiss, cuddle, hold hands everyday - but I do not think it is our hugs she needs.

There is a difference between roots and "stuck"....and she may be a bit stuck whilst her health is not as she needs it to be.

I'm in touch with very few from those years.

I haven't seen or talked to anyone from uni for at least 10 years and I don't have any of their contact details, pretty much all my friends are either from school or from my first job when I was a trainee in a graduate intake group. Dunno why it happened like that, I had a decent enough social circle at uni but they all just left London when they graduated and that was that really.

I love pub quizzes. I've reasonable general knowledge but rubbish at sport and like most people who ate haggis tonight what I know about cricket I could write on my thumbnail without needing to use small print. :D

Ended up in a pub quiz team very close to where Wheezy lives when I worked around his way.

Has he moved? Seems like a while since he called in and he could advise Nikkster on the best beers I'm sure.

I hate quizzes, find them the most boring thing on the earth and I avoid anywhere that is running them.

Saying that though, I am actually quite good at them as I have some very weird and wonderful knowledge but they are just so boring, my heart falls as soon as someone mentions having a quiz.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

DH is bravely persevering in the drizzle. We've had a cut leg on a horse this morning, and the hunt coming by today so annoying decisions about where to put horses.

I've come back in as I'll be out there later clearing up mess I hadn't planned on.

Pink whistley is exceptionally affectionate this morning, I wonder what's going on with her. She is draped around my neck like a fox stole and keeps reaching round to rub her head on my face and kiss my cheek.
