Chenille is also worth considering. I have one in the wash now. Too pale for my floor ( used to be lemon and blue about fifteen, twenty years ago now is creamy white lol, but thick and luxurious and soft still.

It covers the sofa in my cheese room often, which is less wearing than the floor, and more stable than a lighter throw.

Worth looking at that if you want something a bit more than a cotton dhurry? Something to wrinkle your toes in?

Cotton will be fine for the utility room, where I just want to keep my feet a bit warmer when I'm looking for socks in the morning, but I might look into a chenille one for the living room, where I want something soft to sink into. :)

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    Oh my word.

I ventured on to the relationships board where an innocent sounding thread and OP has deteriorated dreadfully. I cannot be alone in having reported it.

He struck me from the first as a bit 'not right'. I very rarely go back and check old posts.

Still, hope everything works out for his fAmily.

Lydia, lightning at the Races is on tv.

I just in from poo picking barn and yard, Poo skip was dragged out of my hand by the wind and half way across the field. DH came out and emptied wheel barrow for me.

After a lot of umming and ahhing I opened field gates, Cut foot horse will have to risk infection. The corruagated iron around the yard which is pretty strong is shaking. Scary for horses and risky if some does get free. :( they can come in if they want, I've tied gates open in triplicate!

I cannot paint bottom corner just yet, and know I need to tighten up the line between green and blue, but I tried doing it free hand. I am half minded to keep it free hand tbh, the wall changes there, so its not flat, even though the blue makes it look as if it is.

DD says she likes it, but it would be even better if the wall was a brighter green. :)

Yes, I thought the gree would be quiet for her
    her :D

Its sort of misty grey green really. Like a foggy morning. But the pink is fairly pink, n'est pas? I am trying to decide whether to paint that chair and if so what colour. The silk loosely folded over its seat as a short term measure to cheer it up could not be a brighter pink. even Elsa Schiaparelli would have taken it down a tone for her pink.

I have an Italian daisy light sconce to go up next to the hooks, which I'm using for a candle, not as real lighting. Its quite near a fire alarm GBD.

She says she likes the other colours, especially the blue. I asked if she thought you should paint the chair, and she says yes. I asked what colour, and she says purple. :D

When we eventually get round to decorating the playroom, I foresee disagreements between her and DS. ;)
