In trying to encourage mum to eat when she is on her own, I did put some Smash in her flat. For when she can't be bothered cooking properly for one. I noticed that it had been replaced, so it can't be terrible.

I include smash in my foodbank shopping as some folk are not only short of food but short of the resources or motivation to cook.

I feel so bad. We've just left Doozerdog at dog prison. I'm traumatised with guilt. :(

I'm sure that DoozerDog will be well looked after. Have a lovely holiday.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Although Smash is a luxury item.... I've been eyeing up the basics ranges, which is why I was considering asking the other forums which are the best/worst of the cheapo options.

Smash is good if you've got a limited amount on your leccy card too. Hot meal with the boiling of a kettle, not 20 minutes of a hob. And, if you're at the food bank as you got emergency housing and had to leave your saucepans behind .... or if you're in one room and don't want to create steam everywhere.

Another Aldi offer. Those mentioning dog beds recently may be interested in this one:

    https://www.aldi.co.uk/en/specialbuys/sunday-15th-december/product-detail/ps/p/large-memory-foam-pet-bed-1/

Thanks for thinking of us. A new bed is on order...for Ben's Christmas pressie. We did not go for the LiR Orvis range, OH ordered a lmemory foam comfy but less tasteful one (and MSE as about £200 cheaper than the rates' dog bed).

Then they would be paying you to have it. Mine wasn't 200. It was cheaper because of the 'Scooby' embroidered on it and bought at outlet. It is highly popular though, they all want to sit on it, Dog dog even sits on it instead of the sofa. I have to tell her to get on the sofa so big dog can sit on it. Weird house when you tel you dog to get ON the sofa.

Oh silvercar, that's horrible. Is this how you found out?

That's how I found out; but having spoken to the helpline, he is not one of the 10. Which means his case was not part of the second detailed investigation. So now I want to know if his case has been investigated thoroughly - probably not. The answer is that we will probably never know for sure, but will always have the suspicion that things may have turned out differently if the procedure was done by someone else.:(

Oh that is sad. Will he have nice walks? What good will come of it? Try to look on the bright side.

and do not go onto the pets board, they might rough you up.

Yep. I think I paid 109? Cannot remember without checking, but I dithered. I think its money well spent though, ow I know dog dog and kiwi will use it too, after big dog doesn't need it.
