Anyone done Martins "how tight are you?" test?
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/quiz/howtightareyou/
I know I can be tight sometimes, so was pleasantly pleased to get a score of 44%.You are 44% tight
"You're frugal, you're thrifty, but on this site that's a little bit fab."It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

We also I think need to talk to someone about drainage for our surface water generally. I have a feeling we might have to consider a soak away.
Previous house always had a water logged back garden. We put in a soak away and it made a big difference. One labourer digging by hand for a few hours, a bit of hard core, cost less than £100.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Our back garden is a soack away really, (in fact its a filled in pond i think.....looking at historic maps, but i know its full of hardcore thanks to having had teneches through already.
Considering it was a pond in the past and a stream used to run through it I'm impressed its never been waterlogged before really!
Big dog home, very wobbly I and with more pIlls than me!!!!! She wouldn't eat rice and white fish I'd cooked her , but fell over on the kiwi, squashing him, then ate his supper, While he struggled to wriggle out from under her.0 -

Right, starting to feel on track. Got breakfast part prepped so we can have that in a relaxed manner and then prep things in a relaxed way though the day. And cook and eat in the afternoon/evening.
I skimmed through posts this week. Wanted to say more. Now I have time....
I love the sound of siblings onion Pastures. It sounds a bit to me, like you made the suggestion and she wanted to make it even better for you, and it was all just a bit of a communication flop......you wanted a roast onion, and sibling wanted to give the best darn roast onion available to give. Maybe still more about her than you, but .....still nice.
I have to admit.....I roast mine in their skins in a pretty ordinary manner, but I'm quite tempted to try siblings way tbh! And....a bit of goat cheese on the end would be a delicious thing if you had a veg ...., a big onion roasted in that special way, with a whole round of thin chèvre grilled at the last minute......mmm.

I came on to look for an update. This has made my day. Please give her a kiss from me, and tell Kiwi it is privilige to have your dinner stolen in such circumstances. Maybe Father Christmas will see he has been a good boy and reward him.0 -

He got a nother supper, so he is ok.....and dog dog ate the fish and rice.
We'll be up till late because they are later.
Kiwi, btw, is almost mushroom coloured with filth, apart from his legs which are brown.

Grrrr...... I hate wrapping the last minute presents that I thought would be a good idea to get at 4:30 this afternoon.
And EE sucks, for not explaining the product ordered would not arrive until after Xmas....
Ah well... there's a joke to be had about the ipad air being so light when the recipient opens a plain box to find a printed picture of it in there.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”
