Our spuds are always splendid/perfect. So I've no idea why she'd want to try something new for the first time on Xmas Day. Sis is a huge roasties fan - the rule is that you can never have too many of them..... so there's probably enough to feed double the number of people that are present.

My roast potatoes aren't great but that is because they see very little oil and smoetimes we don't even bother with parbioling - then again I am not a fan of the realyl fluffy inside roast potatoes as I think they are a bit dry in the mouth unless drowned n gravy and then you are again adding lots of salt and oil and other unhealthyness.

I can't see how people can be ars*d to cook for one - we cook for 5 and still make 2 meals worth at a time to reduce the hassle factor.
    I think....

You lot do all have exciting lives.

Very sadly we seem to have the only working train line in the SE so my plan of a day twiddling my thumbs and nipping out to buy last minute bits and pieces is blown and instead I will be traipsing into London. Will leave early though so we can go look for yellow stickers just before the shops close at 6.

OH managed to get into work with no complications so you're not the only one - that said our trains were still only running with a 5 minute delay at around 9pm last night. I am rotting in the house as using up excess holiday. Need to drive up to parents in a bit, I'm sure that will be fun...

Freezing. Every time I cook I make at least five portions, then it's just a case of taking them out and putting them in the microwave when necessary.

Never cook something that can't be frozen...

If we cooked enough for two meals in one go then I would eat three portions and OH would have one and we would be back to square one!

Well, our leaning tower of shed survived another bout of wind....amazed to see it still standing this morning.

Think I eventually went off at about 4 this morning, youngest droning on about Russian politics and their industrial age finally did the trick! Handy tip, never have an obsessive complex autistic child do 20th century history, your ears will burn and drop off when they get unsettled :rotfl:
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

If we cooked enough for two meals (when James is home), I would need a bigger cooker and freezer.....

Nearly finished wrapping.... it takes a lot longer than you think.... I'm sitting on the floor, which is never a good idea as your back aches and you're forever losing the scissors/sellotape.
