Can't sleep. Looking out of window, all fences still standing but goodness knows how. Something was making a noise earlier, so hope fascias are ok. Auto correct wanted to change that to hope fascists are ok. And a lull... I am trying to sleep with tv on to drown out noise. Every now and again Sleigh Ride plays on an advert or something and wakes me again.

I hope this makes sense. I'll wake up in a few hours and remember typing something about windy fascists.

I'm still awake too, far too noisy and scary to sleep.

I've got music on to try to drown it out and hoping I may just nod off while listening to it...mind you, youngest is still awake, think the day out unsettled him more than we thought.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Wind has really picked up her in last ten or so minutes. Very noisy. Not a good time to be living at the top of a hill.

Hope your gable end is ok lir.

With all the rain it is not a good time to be living at the bottom of a hill either.

Very true. My old house was half way up the leeward side of a hill and that was near perfect. Only problem was to get out you had to drive uphill, across, then downhill. Impossible in snow on ungritted roads. I guess nowhere is perfect.

Great article, thanks Gen. AIUI prisoners in this country are allowed access to computers but not to the outside world, so they can use word and PowerPoint, but not the internet. That must make life very hard if you are a convicted web developer.

You lot do all have exciting lives.

Very sadly we seem to have the only working train line in the SE so my plan of a day twiddling my thumbs and nipping out to buy last minute bits and pieces is blown and instead I will be traipsing into London. Will leave early though so we can go look for yellow stickers just before the shops close at 6.
    I think....

Can we cancel Xmas please? I'm @&$!ing sick of this. Schmaltz, commercialism, waste, expense and annoying people. Why can't my wife's family do a Chris Kringle like normal people? I must have blown $300 on tat that nobody wants let alone needs.

If it's a referendum, I'll vote yes. I've spent about £15.00 on cards though and that's it, as I don't give or receive presents. That sounds like scrooge mentality, but most people are grateful.

Thankfully because we use the train quite a lot (as I am too eek and lazy to drive :rotfl:), they are quite relaxed on trains, plus where they managed to get themselves a spot was a little away from the main hoards of people.
    .

Sounds like a nightmare day, hope you had a relaxing evening.

Tough:p, I've come in to work, though in fairness I'm just tidying away and expect to leave about 11 - 11.30. The last few years I have bobbed into Marks around 15.00 and never got what I wanted and had some real bargains in the food department.

I can't remember if I mentioned it, Mr Bugs funeral is on 3/1/14, and I'm actually amazed by the amount of people who are coming, several of whom are taking a day off work and travelling from Herts area up to the North West. It's kind of cheering in a weird way.

As I will be incommunicado over Xmas, festive wishes to everyone and a happy new year.

I'm on a hilltop (well the London equivalent) so I've no fear of flooding. But I can't help but feel we get more than our fair share of stormy winds compared with when we lived at lower elevations.

My dog seems very clingy tonight and generally he likes to just sleep on his blanket. Today he looks really nervous. I can hear the wind from outside so I wonder what he's hearing!
