Normally the airbag light means the connector under the seat has been disturbed and it needs opening up, the contacts cleaned and pushing together tightly. I'm surprised the themostat needed changing if you hadn't been having overheating problems....but perhaps you didn't want to hear that....
Our car had another bit of suspension today, it has pretty much had a whole new suspension set up since we have had it, either I will have to persuade Herts Council to fix the roads or our next car will have to be a proper 4x4.
PN I agree with Lydia/LIR re your reaction to your siblings bullying, aquiaisance will only reinforce their inappropriate behaviour, sounds like they need some help.
I left work at 3.15 when they said a tree was down on the Thameslink overhead cables and half the lines were closed but that seemed to be after the worst (for now) was over. I am desperately hoping that tonight there will be more trrees down so i can work n St Albans tomorrow.I think....0 -
Generali, hope today went as well as it could for you.
I finished all food shopping today...braved M&S...it was hideous..witnessed parking rage...so I drove away and went to get some lunch to fortify myself..then went back and found a parking place and went in.
Other exciting news..I went to the tip. Our bin day is Weds, so Christmas will mean the fortnightly general waste will not be emptied so OH rebagged it and I took black sacks of carp and cardboard today and did a bottle bank run yesterday.
For the first time in 30 years we are on top of Christmas instead of it being on top of us. The plan is that tomorrow morning I am having a lie in:). I have got all jobs out of the way, will have a leisurely morning and am out for drinks with neighbours at lunch time. OH has finished work today too, it was going to be tomorrow but decided last week that Christmas Eve was going to be pointless in the office in that no meaningful business would be transacted:). This means we have 4 days between now and new year when we are togtehr and not working.

Airplane! is on film4 right now which in my view permanently justifies the existence of the channel, as I have only just turned it on +1 is fully justified too.0 -
I'm going food shopping tomorrow, now I've finally nailed the list. Some form of turkey, smallish, not stuffed; brussels, carrots, broccoli. A trifle mum could eat, if she comes, so not a nice one ....... just a basic/strawberry/similar one. I've always wanted a nice trifle at Xmas.... always suffered Birds trifles most years..... not even the sherry one, just the strawberry one.
If it were up to me I'd either knock one up, or buy a tasty sounding, interesting, one.0 -
I know I shouldn't take it personally, but that makes me quite angry. I understand when people drive in bad weather because they need to get somewhere - I do that myself. But driving in bad weather just for the fun of it? Evading warnings of dangerous roads? I just hope she doesn't kill anybody.
Can't not go .... same field as, say, NDG, so expensive people in strange garbs, having all worked for months to get to this point ..... can't phone in and say "it's a bit windy".0 -
Always risky recommending programmes you haven't yet seen, but the writer Caitlin Morgan has a series pilot tonight 10.50 ch 4 raised by wolves, may amuse PN and other NPs.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Oh dear - wondering why the book people order for the DKs hadn't arrived, discovered it had gone to our old house (which we moved out of 3.5 years ago) and new owners had told courier it wan't for them so it has gone back - still they have enough presents and this means less wrapping....I think....0

No, I probably didn't
I realise how silly it sounds, but I actually do have a fair amount of faith in that garage. More so than the one which would be more convenient (who out and out lied to me about something). They had plenty of work on today, and there were enough more straightforward things they could have pushed me to shell out for. They had the hassle of sorting me out with a car for the afternoon (and showing me how to use an automatic...!) for a start. I also have insider info that that particular dealership are about as honest as they get.
Seeing as I don't know enough about cars to tell them any different, I had to go with my best judgment. That and the inconvenience of dealing with future problems when I'm not prepared to use the closet garage...0
