I got to watch most of Toy Story this afternoon with the sound off. Still enjoyed itCome to think of it, perhaps that's where they got the idea that I would be distracted by a cuddly toy...

Except that I also got soaked. And spent ages in traffic jams.
Nikkster look away now.
Only good point was the bill for the work on the car was the same bill I reported a while back. So I left a fat tip. And the tyre place I thought was going to say I needed four tyres but only charged me £15 to fix a flat.
I did spend far too much time reversing the big car between cars in a packed garage.
I've no gift for that so I feel sorry for the people who had to put up with my slow meanderings.
Spent the evening walking the dog so he could do his bisness which he did with alacrity and dragged me home. I had to slow him down to stuff the papiermache that started the journey as christmas cards through my neighbours doors.:)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Well, the new fridge is installed, the turkey has arrived, the shopping is finished, the cupboards are stuffed to bursting point, the bar is full, the presents are wrapped, and it's time for a well earned drink.
May even pop to Tesco tomorrow and take advantage of any last minute specials to fill the giant new freezer.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

I didn't travel far today, but I spent a lot of time in traffic jams. Probably a good thing as I didn't pick up speed very quickly (not sure whether it was the diesel bit or the automatic bit).0 -

DH is still out with ours, my guess is they are not complying. They usially get a bit of a stroll, either just around the yard to check gates in bad weather or, if its not too grim, down the track to the cake. If its good they go once round the cake at least and the gate check.
Tonight they'll be trying to huddle in a barn, but the lak of movement wo n't be helping them perform.
Dog dog had enjoyed Harry potter, and loved the word expelliamus. Did a little jig t it, so DH and I are obsoleting widdly wee wee and phasing in expelliamus. Shrug.....whatever makes her happy.0 -

Can't not go .... same field as, say, NDG, so expensive people in strange garbs, having all worked for months to get to this point ..... can't phone in and say "it's a bit windy".
Oh, OK, I misunderstood your post then. Sorry.:o:o:o:o

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Wind has really picked up her in last ten or so minutes. Very noisy. Not a good time to be living at the top of a hill.
Hope your gable end is ok lir. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Just reading that and I've noticed it's sounding very windy here too, and it's pretty flat. Hope everyone survives the weather in one piece.
Obv the storms are the immediate concern, but the river here is looking very high and muddy. Not a great sign.0 -
Can we cancel Xmas please? I'm @&$!ing sick of this. Schmaltz, commercialism, waste, expense and annoying people. Why can't my wife's family do a Chris Kringle like normal people? I must have blown $300 on tat that nobody wants let alone needs.0

Always risky recommending programmes you haven't yet seen, but the writer Caitlin Morgan has a series pilot tonight 10.50 ch 4 raised by wolves, may amuse PN and other NPs.
