Lots and lots of cuddles later....so pleased to hear she got through it ok.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Great news. Hope she has a swift recovery from the op.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Ahhh, great news lir. Give Big Dog a suitably big hug from the NP later0

Always risky recommending programmes you haven't yet seen, but the writer Caitlin Morgan has a series pilot tonight 10.50 ch 4 raised by wolves, may amuse PN and other NPs.
Based upon assumptions about growing up on a council estate in wolverhampton.
Given that she's on record as hating the place, I avoided it. TBH I was concerned to see you recommended it, but heartened to see the follow up post below...Retracted.
Unless you have read her columns or her book, don't bother watching.I got to watch most of Toy Story this afternoon with the sound off. Still enjoyed itCome to think of it, perhaps that's where they got the idea that I would be distracted by a cuddly toy...
Toy Story is, imo the best film trilogy ever. Fact. All 3 films are superb, & you will benefit from them, whether you are a child, or an adult.
I remember watching Toy Story for the first time, years ago on VHS. The electricity went part way through & left the house I was in, in darkness.
I got up the next morning, walked into town, & bought it on VHS. Walked home, & watched it for the end. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Garden center?
I've no idea what sage is, really. The closest I've got to it is in pre-made stuffing.
Using actual fresh sage sounds like a posh alert to me.
PN gets posh alerted!:rotfl:
Is american spelling a posh alert too?:oIt's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I've got a large freezer... it is the only way that cooking makes any kind of sense to me. Cooking more than one single persons meals worth and then freezing it. Otherwise, you waste loads of time and money.
without a freezer it'd be cheaper just to go entirely premade.
Agreed.
I also think the motivation for cooking for 1 is substantially lower than cooking for others. Cooking/eating is better experienced socially imo.
When there's just me, most meals seem "too much hassle".It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Then I remembered the hangers were in the car, with the calendar.... so had to go out - it's cold and raining out there.......
Doesn't it just! I think people forget about that.
Mine too a full day. But I had some cracking music on to listen to whilst wrapping.
Did all mine last weekend (not the one just gone, the one before). It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Might delete this bit later, so please don't quote]
