I went to Tesco yesterday and was not impressed. Amongst my shopping was a Christmas cake. When I got it home I noticed that the date had expired.

    1. What was Tesco doing selling goods that had expired?
    2. Why sell Chrismas cake that expires before Chrismas?

I phoned them up to say an item that I bought had expired and they couldn't even be bothered to take the details so that nobody else found themselves in the same situation. Customer service fail.

But the real reason I logged on early was to wish all NPs facing a long journey safe travels. Especially NDG who I know has an enforced late departure.

Christmas cake doesn't go off if it's real.

i.e. if it has the correct amount of alcohol added.

It has no alcohol in. I was so delighted to find one that met DH's dietary requirements that I bought it without checking date. It still seems strange though to sell Christmas food that is branded as such and expires before Chrismas.

The sort of launderette that will launder a duvet for £10 won't have an online presence!

I have just done a Tesco shop, timed to get there just as the store opened (midnight) after the Sunday trading laws. It is as I imagine a 3rd world supermarket would be, aisles blocked with cages of goods waiting to be shelved.

I hope you took a self scan and scanned everything in the electronics section - there are isolated mega-bargains around according to hotukdeals although nothing in Hatfield where I am pretty sure the staff are extremely saavy and probably monitor hukd.

We did Sains at 5.30 on Saturday which seemed to be less busy than a normal Saturday afternoon :) Dropped in at Tesco yesterday morning which again was no too bad except for the checkouts but we did self scan. Only problem was in Tesco with a 12 off 80 voucher we buy something expensive in electronics and then try and buy more than 12 of bits and pieces and there is so little that I find attractive there that spending the 12 is a problem :(

Lets hope the trains are running today for those of us who have to work.
    I think....

Michaels, FCC has been saying on Sky that they are expecting disruptions to service today and tomorrow.

I have to go to work today and tomorrow, but will be driving. A bigger issue for me is the need to park under big, mature trees when I get there as they lose limbs with alarming regularity.

This close to Christmas perhaps it's better that they're not...?

Bit of a hard day for me today. It's my late Dad's birthday which was always the start of Xmas. I always get despondent on this day.

Looks like we are going to have to leave Norwich even earlier, not only has our original choice 6pm train been cancelled but so has the 5pm one we then opted for.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Again, surely a good thing to get out of Norwich as quickly as possible?
