Swimming was fun but peculiar.
Loved the swimming baths.
I got really tired really quickly. Tired, but not....physically tired if that makes sense. I was just tired....my arms were tired, but not achey, and I wasn't out of breath or anything, but,...tired. And so I just poodles along slowly.
And then I got really cold. Was impressed at how much DH has improved since I last saw him swim!0 -
Are you living with your brother? If you aren't, he can stuff off. If he is living with you, he can stuff off.

Now, don't quote me on this, but although the original theory was that it was random there has been recent research that suggests it isn't completely random. Environmental concerns might affect what chromosomes you receive from your parent.
Edit: Here, http://www.plosone.org/article/info%3Adoi%2F10.1371%2Fjournal.pone.0001086 , for example is a bit of research that I don't understand. Have fun reading it
I *think* it's more than just randomly passing on one or the other of the two chromosomes in each pair, and instead the DNA gets to some extent shuffled between the two chromosomes in the pair before half of it is passed on. But I'm way outside my area of science. Where's missk? Are you living with your brother? If you aren't, he can stuff off. If he is living with you, he can stuff off.

PN lives alone, but is with her siblings for Christmas. They expect her to contribute to the arrangements, I gather, but don't give her the information she asks for. She is not the sort of person who is brave enough to tell anybody to stuff off, whoever's living anywhere.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

The more we discover, the more we realise needs to be understood.

It obviously started off as a bit of a muddle and a mix up:

I don't want a soddin' lettuce really .... I bought a crunchy one, went to put it in the fridge and there's a couple of those midget ones in there.... so I am now guessing that the midget ones are the "right ones" and not just a crunchy one.... in my world lettuce is a one leaf decoration and takes up space that chips could have used!
It'll be used to chop up and mix with peppers, etc, to accompany jacket spuds.0 -
waitrose was a bloody nightmare as well, cars queuing down the south circular to get into the tiny car park, pallets of mince pies everywhere, grannies using the self scan checkouts to process a huge trolley load of tins of peaches. chaos.0

We went all around town in the rain looking for presents.
I think I am the awkward one to buy for, to be honest. After having chucked out around a thousand books this year, and doing everything I can to get rid of as much random junk stuff as possible I don't want any new things thank you.

And I think I'll be in trouble anyway for "going off list" even though there was a deliberate "no list given yet" situation.
It's like life is engineered to ensure I'm always in the wrong, whatever I do. Things I want, that they don't, will also be frowned up/sneered at ... dismissed and shoved to the rear of the fridge, inaccessible and forgotten, so, again, I couldn't just make it up.
I've got tomatoes, lettuce and cucumber as I know they were items that were "needed" .... but £1 says I've got the wrong type of lettuce, the wrong sort of tomatoes .... and probably the wrong shape cucumber
It was MAYHEM in there. Queues were 15+ people deep!
And it is getting worse, especially when you are in a different town.
A couple of Christmases ago, I was sent out to get some forgotten "ready prepared" salad leaves. The nearest/only shop was a drive to Sainsbury.
It had 21 different mixtures of ready prepares salad leaves.
The choice has left me scarred to this day.0 -
channel 4 now - 100 best christmas toys ever. i don't mention this because i think it is interesting and that anyone should watch it - more that it is the beginning of the awful procession of these programs that i am now going to have to spend the next week watching. 100 best films EVER, 100 best TV moments EVER (del boy falling through the bar, hilarious innit!), best sackings of lazy channel 4 executives who couldn't be bothered to make proper programs EVER. the only reason that they have programs like made in chelsea is so that there are enough Z list celebs to appear as 'social commentators' on these "best 100 EVER" programs.0

I, too, would have been sent out with some vague wording, in order to make their fait accompli of making me wrong whatever I do easier for them.
Then, if I'd offered to go out somewhere else, the voice would have been used again to tell me there's no point and I'm given one simple task and fail at it.
And, in the end, all 21 packs would have ended in the bin as not used.
... and people wonder why we hate families.
Have you ever suggested to your sibling that some talking therapy might be really beneficial for them? Do you think it was due to your parental expectations during your formative years that your sibling appears to be so jealous towards you which is manifested in this bullying, belittling behavoiur? Is it only this sibling or is the other one the same? (I think you have 2 siblings)I think....0
