Ever since my recent haircut I've started to see white hairs.I think I am going grey on the edges.

Yes, same here. £10 at both here. I wash mine as have a 1 tog for summer, 3 tog for Spring and Autumn, and 4.5 tog for Winter, none of which are very thick.

This was our summer weight one, its not thick but its wide. I think its a king. (iPad said kink. :rotfl:). I didn't even try the winter weight one.

We use both through winter. I get really cold in bed. We usually have a winter weight, the summer weight, then assorted other spare bedding and the electric blanket.

It shows how mild it is we've just been the quilts up til now.

Edit...googling, the nearest service wash with Internet presence is eight to ten miles away. Not impossible, but a pita.

It can suit men well. A new, trim, silver fox. You probably look quite dashing.
  • £13 quid for a double duvet here, but we pay £10 as it's a neighbour and he's nice.

We all use polyester 4.5 tog (which I thought was summer weight, Viva) and all singles so they can all fit in the machine. Down would be nicer but it just isn't practical and also I find is more likely for the filling to spread/settle and leave cold patches.

PN I'm glad you reached safely despite the nightmare - have you figured out how to use your moto as a sat nav yet?

We seem to be having a late evening here - DW and DDs went to CoE carols (no doubt this means songs everyone knows) at 6.30 and surprisingly isn't home yet - I suspect some mince pie/mulled wine may be going on.
    I think....

It is summer weight, but here I'm too hot with anything else. I have a 7 tog as well, but to use that I'd have to turn off all of the heating, it is way too hot. The house is relatively new, so keeps heat in well.

A few years ago I started getting a few greys/whites on the temples which only really showed when it needed cutting....now even with a grade 2 it is still obvious - I suggest to DW and DKs that if they caused me slightly less stress I might not have so many and they just laugh and say 'poor old man' :(

I am not to uncomfortable with this for Christmas songs, of course Gen is correct re the best ever Christmas song. When it comes to carols don't forget which college I went to at uni, although I was not a choral scholar as anyone who has ever heard me sing would attest to

We have a trip planned to Norwich tomorrow by train but now seeing the weather warnings, I'm going eek!

Boys would have a meltdown if I changed plans now plus I really really do need to go somewhere big rather than our little town to finish off the Christmas shopping, so we might leave earlier and come back earlier before it really hits here.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
  • Can't remember what tog our duvet is - the winter ones at my parents' house are 13 tog, though, and don't feel too hot in the winter. But it's a very old house, and hard to heat, and anyway my mother's[STRIKE] mean about the heating [/STRIKE]careful with the heating.

I'm dithering about the weather too, Sue - well, I'd like to go to Kent tomorrow, as I'm packed, ready, etc, but OH is worried about the weather, and so is my Dad. So I'll wait and see.

    No.

However, while sitting in the car with the engine off, going nowhere, I did try to load google maps to see if I could go another way - no signal at all
