I'd pay and tell him it's his Christmas present because you can't condone him breaking the law. You could warn him that's what you'll do if it makes you feel better.0

I'd sit him down and talk to him about it explaining the consequences of not paying, like a big fine and ask him what he wants to do.
If he still wont pay himself, I'd offer to pay it as his xmas present or that you pay and he reinburses you like before.
At the end of the day though you and your partner will not be able to support him for ever. Whats he going to do when your not here anymore?
Has he got a mental health support worker or someone like that who can work with him about budgetting? perhaps see if you can get him one and then let him take more responsibilty for himself.0 -
Who do they think is paying it then?
I don't think they've thought about it, I'm assuming my mum thinks my dad's paying and vice versa! It's on a rolling direct debit and every year just gets renewed automatically. I get the tv licence on email and print it and put it in their drawer of paperwork. Maybe they know I'm paying it. I never even thought about it til now0 -
I think the other bit of missing info is why he is so adamant he's not paying for it. Is it because he feels the BBC is a corrupt, government sponsored outdated corporation blah blah (for which personally he may have a point) ...... or is it just a "I don't want to" ?I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -

As said earlier, it's "I don't want to."
It's academic now, though, as the decision has been made.. . .I did not speak out
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me..
