As far as I can tell, there are no listing charges, nothing for BIN (wouldn't use auctions as I have fixed prices I sell things at) just final value fees?

That's if you stump up the £50 for seller+ registration (one-off lifetime fee). It's more complicated if you go for one of the other options. (Too complicated for me, I just went straight for seller+).

If you want gallery then there's a 2% FVF, though. I pay that because I think gallery is an essential.

I don't know what a BIN code is either. What am I missing?

    Hi all,
I wanted to list some books on EBID but notice that you have to use the books BIN numbers. What are these and where do I find them???
    All help greatly appreciated.

    Hi Magenta

I sell books on Ebid, but I don't know where you need to fill in a BIN number. I've had a look on the listing pages for books, but can only find 'title', 'author' or 'ISBN'. Perhaps if you could point us to the page/area we might be able to help.

    Hi Funky Monkey,

I haven't seen it myself but it was something you mentioned yourself in post number 8 of this thread!

    Hi Val

After reading your first post I decided to give Ebid a go. I've signed up for 30 days Platinum and am trying to do a bulk upload. I mainly sell books on Amazon and Play, so I prefer the BIN option.

I have emailed a bulk upload with only 6 books on it to see if I have got the format right, this was about 3 hours ago. I have seen different estimates regarding upload times - do you know if they do uploads at weekends? Do you have to delete the advisory tabs in the excel spreadsheet before emailing? Do you have any tips where you have previously made 'false starts' in trying to bulk upload?

Sorry I have so many questions, but I can't seem to find the answers on the FAQ on Ebid.

    TIA FFM :)

Have scrolled back and found it! You mention a BIN number in your third line.

Eh? What am I missing? I see a 'BIN option' but no 'BIN number'. (Blinks and makes googly eyes trying to see what you're seeing).

Where is the field on an Ebid listing that demands a 'BIN number'? I have never come across it after many listings.

Sorry I am confused here as well, in post 8 funky monkey just says "so I prefer the BIN option" which is Buy It Now nothing to do with listing or Bin numbers.

Magenta, do you mean you need a code for the bulk upload spreadsheet to indicate you want to make a listing BIN? If so, if you download your current listings to the spreadsheet then delete all except one you know to be BIN, you can just copy the code from that.
  • Oops, so sorry if I caused any confusion :o

Soolin is spot on, BIN in this context was Buy It Now.
