    Better late than never!

    It's YDC time again on eBid

    The listing period for YDC61 is from 6.00pm Friday 28 November through to midnight, Sunday 30 November.

    This months featured charity is "Help The Aged" http://www.helptheaged.org.uk/en-gb

    better give this thread a bump as it's getting buried :) there are some fantastic tools for using ebid at https://www.ebidinfo.com
    There is no such word as "bidded". I bid, you bid, they bid, Ebid ;)
  • I have lots of childrens clothes and books. Is there any point of me selling these on ebay or ebid? I'm worried i'll be selling to pay for the fees.

    Has anyone tried to set up their own website solely for selling their own stuff?

    If you don't have a shop it could get quite steep to list on ebay. Amazon will charge a lot too, but at least it's only once something sells. I would bung all the books on there, any low-value ones on green metropolis.

    You can list them totally free on ebid (childrens clothes do sell if you use good keywords in your titles) list the books on ebid too, that's what i sell :)

    I've bumped this thread as I know the ebid regulars have it bookmarked. You may be interested in this thread;

    I believe this potential new auction site has ebid as a main competitor rather than ebay and it might be useful for regular ebid users to maybe add some suggestions to mine about the service and how new auction sites need to be aware that there is more than ebay out there, especially when they are using the free listing model.

    Thanks Soolin. I'm very surprised that there has been so little research done?

    Thanks from me too, Soolin. I'm very surprised the poster left without fighting his own corner - nearly 15 months with his site and it takes only one day for him to run off when upset? This doesn't sound like the type of person I would like to give any of my hard-earned cash to, nor would I like 'dead skunk' showing up in my accounts :rolleyes: . Good luck to the guy for trying, everyone loves a success story, but neither the name nor the guy's attitude serve to make him many friends, IMO.
