So proud - the bank have actually written to me to tell me that I have overpaid so much this year that I'm close to being charged a penalty! They tell me I still have £1400 left of my allowance though so I'll get that maxed up before the new mortgage year in March :j
It's taken a long time to get here but really satisfying to see that balance drop now - keep up the good work everyone, it's worth it!Mortgage balance £21,251.37 2 Oct 2019

Never too late to join calicocat - well unless it's 2015!
I will add you to the spreadsheet when I make the next update - probably at the weekend.
Kansaskitty - I've checked back and you've definitely not posted any overpayments in this thread since January. I will add those you've given at the next update.
Checking in........
Made my target, 1K overpayment made for the last couple of the months for this year. I won't be over paying any more this year as need to blow the credit card out of the water.
I couldn't see a number for me on the OP so don't have a number to give for someone to update it i'm afraid.
Haven't quite decided yet on target for next year's challenge as also need to save for a new car over the next year or two. Also need some things doing to the house, and job always precarious so like to have savings.....it's all a fine balance these days isn't it. Plan will be to throw money at all three.
I just haven't decided on which pot gets which amount......decisions decisions....:D
Good luck everyone in getting there.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -

Big thank you for volunteering.
A pleasure - the challenge has given me lots of motivation over the last couple of years so it's good to keep it going. Not sure i'll manage to be as efficient at it as you've been though, but will do my best0 -
Thank you JCL for all your hard work, and a big well done to Black taxi on being MF - can't imagine how amazing that must feel!
Pay day so an early OP of £1,056 made for December, #123.
This takes me to £13,100 for the year, though I've just realised if I'd paid an extra £78 I would have dipped below £65k on my mortgage so may have to make a top up payment, funds permitting...
I've spent A LOT of cash on home improvements this year so really pleased I've managed to keep up the OPs to this level
Good luck all!MFW 2017 #123 2018: £1,852.64/£39,200 (4.7%)0
