  • #111 with probably my final op this year, only £100 as don't want to overextend myself with Xmas looming then end up bunging spends on the card, but wanted to put something away at least.

Thanks JCL for running the thread this year, looking forward to next year's challenge, especially as hoping to be mortgage neutral in Jan 2016!

#12 here with an OP of £600 as usual, the last OP for 2014. I'm pretty happy to have gone £1200 past my £6k goal for the year, although with a small regret that I never managed to supplement the £600 monthly standing order - had hoped to manage an additional cheeky OP here or there, but never quite got to it

I'll look to kick off the 2015 thread on the 15th - the efforts of VoucherMan and JCL have been a huge motivation for me over the last couple of years, so will be nice to keep things going for another year :D :T
  • Hi everyone,

I've come back to the MSE forum with my head hung in shame. I planned to OP this year, and instead got myself into 6k's worth of debt

So after my *coughSECONDcough* lightbulb moment, I'm back on MSE and determined to turn my life around.

Will there be a 2015 thread?

    Thank you.

That's the spreadsheet updated with all the latest overpayments for the start of December. We are in the closing stretch now and great to see so many reaching the targets they set for the year.

    Keep going all!

Also, thanks again to Lomcevak for picking up the reins for 2015. :)

    Hangs my head in shame!:o

I thought I'd pop on here with an update. I have been making overpayments throughout the year, but then I also had to 'borrow' back the overpayments, so ultimately I've only actually overpaid 1000.00gbp (record back in February).

I have made several Tilly Tidies throughout the course of the year and these have amounted to 628.28gbp.

So I have a figure to declare:-

    # 137 628.28

Total for the year (so far) 1628.28gbp, I don't anticipate making any additional payments before the end of the year as I've done a forecast and it doesn't look good :( But I'm going to hang about the Boards and see which challenges can I join for 2015 to help keep me on track.

My apologies for being such a poor contender :o

Haven't posted on here in ages, but have been doing my overpayments each month, so my total for 2014 is

    #51 - £12,641.95, so £641.95 over target, yay!

Next year may be different as although we will still be overpaying, might also be selling, but hoping the more overpayments, the more I have to put towards my new place!

  • Well we paid our last regular op of £1,000 this week and will go into the branch later next week to make the last deposit for the year to round up our total (will post again once done).:j:j

Would love to join next years thread as this years has motivated me no end to keep going forward to reach our target.

Only issue is that i found out this week Mr Shepherd has not been completely honest with me with regards to his financial situation so next year may have to lower my sights so i can support him in getting his things in order.

Congratulations :Tto all that have contributed to the thread i think your all amazing keep up the great work for 2015.
