Sorry, I cannot find the Principality regular saver details. Could you post a link to it here?
I have come across this new Skipton BS regular saver from 29th October.
http://www.moneyfacts.co.uk/searches/savingdetails.aspx?moneyfactsid=SAVINGS001406401Anniversary
7.55% for £10-250.
There is also their new Christmas Saver 2008
http://www.moneyfacts.co.uk/searches/savingdetails.aspx?moneyfactsid=SAVINGS001171401OnMaturity
Paying 7.55% (higher AER depending on when you start the account) on £10-150
Aha - have just seen that other moneysavers have spotted these too already!
Apologies if I do not reply to any PMs or posts for the next 5 days - I am currently on holiday and will definitely not have internet access from tomorrow onwards.
Oh no, my time on this computer is up!0 -
Just a quick note to say that I have managed to update the first post of this thread with the 2 new Skipton accounts, have added the Newcastle BS account and put it in a new section on page 2 for regular savings accounts that require an investment or insurance product and have not added the Chelsea BS account yet as it should have been launched 1 week ago but there are no details on the Chelsea BS website.
I feel I should also say be careful about taking out insurance or a guaranteed equity bond (which many people on this forum think are pretty bad products) just to get a regular saver.
I will also add that Ray Wolfe´s message 171 was in response to a message that has since been deleted (somebody spamming the board) in case you wonder RW´s message looks odd now!0 -

However, they sent me a flyer about it yesterday because my existing 6.5% jobbie is maturing. The document is dated October so perhaps the web site is behind or maybe it's for renewers.
I'll keep my eye on it and let you know.
Thanks again for your brilliant work.0 -
Niether can I!!!

My Principality 6.50% regular saver matures soon too, next month. I haven't yet received a flyer from them about the 7.00% account. I feed this regular saver from income, so I was going to open the new Skipton Xmas and Special saver instead. Though I may now fund this new account as well. Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -
According to the Skipton BS leaflet for the Special Saver Account, it seems you can have as many of the Skipton Special Saver accounts as you like.
"You can have more than one account running at a time"0 -
I have updated the first post of this thread with more details of the Skipton accounts, Prinicipality and Britannia accounts (with web links where available).
Kazza - thanks a lot for posting a link on here to your thread on the Britannia account. It is very helpful for those of us who are unable to visit the forum every day but are subscribed to this thread (I have subscribed for daily updates to any messages posted on this thread).
As soon as I get back to the UK (I am currently on holiday), I am going to apply for one (or more!) of those Skipton Special Savers. The terms and conditions seem excellent - I can deposit GBP 250 per account, fund each account with only GBP 10 per month, and then close the account whenever I want without any penalty according to the terms and conditions! I should point out that the interest rate is variable (not fixed, as initially reported, I have changed this in my entry on the first post of this thread as well as giving the link to the web page which is now available).
Looking at the Skipton, Principality and Britannia accounts terms and conditions together (see first post of this thread), the Skipton 7.55% Special Saver appears the clear winner to me.0 -

Get back here now ... things are happening that need your attention. ;-)
Thanks again for all your good work. (and of course KAZZA who, once again has been referred to as a "she".)0 -
