Can you have more than one Chorley Reg Saver, but of different types then?

The T&C's don't stipulate that you can't have two different Chorley affinity regular savers.

Here is the link to the Regular Gallows 7.50%account.
...i wasnt happy that chorley BS dont pay the bonus on its ongoing reg saver ( worden 2) unless you open the account in june or july of any given year, this is despite fact that chorley launched its worden 2 in "a" march of a year in full knowledge that nobody would get the bonus rate of interest for nearly four months of the first life of the account.

That's a bit naughty of them! Monmouthshire BS' Saver Plus account pays a bonus rate of interest if all qualifying payments are made. However, unlike Chorley they don't penalise the customer. As long as the customer has made all payments since opening the account, you get the bonus.

yip so do all the other ongoing reg savers, leeds reg saver i only held for a month and it paid the bonus interest. i told chorley good example of mutuality ( not) needless to say i opened a 100.00 affinity instant access account, closed the ongoing reg saver i opened in august. ;)

"The Worden 2 earns 2.4% gross if 12 Monthly payments are not received, once the account has received the 12 regular monthly payments between July and June then the Bonus is applied. This account is an ongoing account and can be taken up to the Max balance of £15000. It is better to open the account in July as you will earn the bonus in the first year. The reason it was launched in March was because we had to withdraw the Worden 1 as it was fully subscribed, but it was a very popular account and the Society wanted to replace it straight away.

We have got a Galloways Regular Saver Account which is paying 7.5% gross you can save between £20 - £250 a month and the interest is paid on the 31st May regardless of how many monthly payments are made. On the 1st Anniversary of the account the fund will be transfered into a nominated account within the Society leaving a £1 balance and you can then carry on the monthly payments.

I hope I've explained it clearly if not and you want more info please phone me on 01772 458905."

There is a small search box at the top of the Chorley webpage. I input the name of the account and the first link was the correct one.

puzzling y chorley have not got around to adding its range of galloway accounts to its affinity account range.

u may have noticed that in recent times chorley BS have attempted to revamp its web page, phrase "tried hard could do better springs to mind". :rotfl:

Yes, very odd. Do you remember their old webpage? What a nightmare that was to navigate around.;) At one point they didn't even list any of their affinity accounts on their website, even though they were available to new business. They also take an age to update their savings account interest rates following a base rate increase.

yip. at least chorley cant be accused of spending a fortune on web design. :rotfl:chorley might cite a future takeover of itself as access to a much improved webpage. :rotfl:
  • Thanks a lot for that information. I am still amazed how you find these accounts that are not listed elsewhere. I have managed to squeeze this account into the first post in this thread (was a tight fit with the character limit but managed it).

I will also provide a link to this thread about the West Bromwich 8% Regular Saver (Magic 8) account. It is still not listed on their website. I shall await further details.
  • Okay, I have now updated the first post of this thread with full details for West Bromwich's Magic 8 account. Have deleted Skipton's Christmas account to make room for it as the Christmas account gets matured on 25th November so I cannot imagine many people wanting to open one right now!
