My existing Britannia 7.50% Regular Saver bond (opened last year) is about to mature next week. They've timed the launch of this new account to keep savers saving with them (just like Skipton and Principality). Please call me 'Kazza'.0

Ditto - was thinking of giving Principality & Britannia the heave-ho but now looks like they've got me for another year.0

Now this Britannia account has launched I may go for this instead of Principality - if the latter ever get my eSaver opened. I've already opened a Skipton Special Saver and will be opening the Xmas Saver 2 tomorrow.
There have been so many new regular savings account launches over the last few days, which is making me constantly change my mind about which ones to open.:DPlease call me 'Kazza'.0 -

My RS matures on 7th November and about 2 weeks ago I wrote to them enclosing passbook saying give me the money and close the account. At that stage they didn't know about any new RS in the pipeline. However, usually with building societies, prior to maturity they bombard you with literature as to put your money with them in another account. I've never received anything from them, has anyone else?0

My Britannia account also matures on 7th November. Like you, I haven't received any information from them about the new account, which is odd if they wish to retain savers' money. Ipswich and Principality on the other hand have both written to me with regards to my maturing accounts. Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -
If this account matches the existing Britannia one then you can time the opening payment to later in the month (of November) and also do so by cheque (not sure how cheques are treated for interest purposes by Britannia.)
They seem to have their DD collection date set to close to 1st (usually the 2nd I find) so the interest is increased is you delay the opening date in this way.
(No mention of direct debit being the method of regular payment but I assume it is as they are set up for this?).....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -
Hi, probably being really thick but can't find this on the Britannia website - is there a specific link to it ?
