No I'm not, you received a parcel, not a letter, the delivery times are completely different, especially near to christmas, if you chose not to see what time deliveries are made, do you really then think it is reasonable to complain about your own lack of research/knowledge.

Actually, you are. My biggest issue wasn't the time, more the way the delivery was conducted, i.e. hammering the bell and then leaving a parcel on the doorstep and speeding off before checking anyone was home.

My biggest gripe would have been that the parcel was just left on the doorstep (and potentially stolen), but that seems to have been relegated to second place by poor doorbell ringing technique :naughty:

Nope, they were both equally as irritating, it was more second place with regards to the order of events rather than anything else.
Service wise, the worst part was just leaving it on the doorstep, but the bell irritated me more due to waking the kids up.

swingaloo round here it's NOT normal. The only callers I ever have after about 6pm, I know are coming.

Correction- At your house its not normal. I doubt if everyone in your area thinks alike.

Considering I'm friendly with most people on my estate, I can tell you it is normal, as we all have young children. It's a new estate and all the houses were given to families who either had at least one child under 5, or a child with disabilities, so most of the people around here are in the same boat WRT young children and bedtimes.

Just more consideration, really. Like "hey, don't be a !!!!!!. Learn to ring a bell like an adult not a two-year old".

well 2 year olds should be in bed at 7.30pm anyway

    Again, missing the point.
Also, as far as I was aware, I wasn't using a company that delivered at that time. The latest I've ever had a delivery before was post at 6pm. And that was once, and due to my postie being off and his rounds being done by another postie at the end of their usual route.

    and things change

In which case, RM should make it clear which hours they will deliver between.
