Samsung galaxy s3 or 4.
S3 is more useful than the ipad i borrowed from work.0 -
You'd be better asking here and providing a bit more info on wants and budget:

I have the windows phone
http://www.windowsphone.com/en-gb/?ocid=WPUKFY141020SEMBRAND
You can buy it for about £100 to £149.
However, on contract the phone (handset) is free, and it's £14.99 a month (for a 18 month contract,) for unlimited texts, 100 minutes talk time and (I think) 4GB of data.
But when you are somewhere where there's free wifi (like your home, or mcdonalds or the train or most pubs etc,) switch your wifi off, and it will us theirs and not yours.
Depends if you want a pay-as-you-go or a contract phone. Best go into the O2 shop or EE or phones 4 U or somewhere similar, and ask for the best deal.0 -
I know this sounds like bar humbug but wouldn't it be an idea to ask your hubby what he wants?
Recommendations are all very well but one man's meat etc?2014 Target;

Ah well, there goes my reply....I was going to say iPhone! Personally, I love Apple products, I don't think I'd consider getting another make. Your husband might be the same, some people are dedicated to Apple and love their iPhones, and some aren't and like to try out different makes. Which one is your husband? Has he mentioned any particular phone?
My husband has got a windows phone after having had an iPhone for years, and he loves it, me personally, I'd hate it! But yeah for a non iPhone recommendation I'd suggest a windows phone? Is that new Nokia with the 41 megapixel camera a windows phone, that looks to be a good one.0 -
I agree with the poster who said ask on the mobile phones board, but give a bit more idea of your budget - do you want to buy the phone outright, or on a contract? Monthly/phone cost? How many minutes/texts/data?
This is the cheap option that is being recommended on the board at the moment.

I've had 2 samsung phones and never owned an apple product before getting this iPhone, I was slightly swayed by my bf getting one but I can honestly say I love it and wouldn't go back to samsung.
But everyone is different, my friend swears by his windows phone and another swears on android.
Best bet is ask him what he'd like, maybe as in features etc? Then get on the tech board and ask for recommendations, then shop around. The biggest thing for me was unlimited internet, as my laptop is on it's last legs and the wifi here is rubbish, plus when 4g rolls out I get upgraded to it at no extra cost.This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
