UPDATE 6/2/14: If you only require the 8Gb PAYG version then direct from Vodafone is the cheapest option at £100 (the 8GB version is now £110 from Tesco). Thanks to poster sillygoose for this info!

UPDATE: BOTH 8GB and 16Gb back in stock as at 2.05pm Friday, 10th January 2014! It's very rare for the 16GB version to be in stock so don't hang about!

BE QUICK!! £10 discount code for new customers on HUKD.

Absolutely unbelievable mobile bargain! BUT locked to Tesco Mobile. Unlock code from ebay just £2.04! Included in the Clubcard Boost offer as well

These are locked to Tesco Mobile according to posters on the HUKD thread.

£20 to unlock and it takes 28 days. But still a good deal if someone has some spare clubcard points.

    Sold out it seems :)
  • This is going to be one BIG selling phone. Apart from the OS, is there much difference specs wise between this and the £469 iPhone 5C??

Well, the screen is very nearly as good as the 5/5c/5s, almost as good as my Nexus 7 (2013)).

That plus the insane battery life are why I choose it over my SP as a daily driver.

It's not pulled exactly, just a large amount of demand and sold out.

I should be picking one up this afternoon for an xmas pressie, although will probably return it if it's locked.
  • If you know someone who is an orange PAYG subscriber and DOESN'T want a new phone drag them along to a phones4u store and (hopefully) you should get a Moto G PAYG for £99.95 on upgrade. AFAIAA all PAYG phones from phones4u are SIM free.

I tried that the day before as I have an Orange SIM that I use of Orange Wednesdays... computer said no :(

Potential blessing as thanks to some Tesco discounts I've paid £87.50 for the thing :D

    Edit: Boo, they're locked

Now back in stock at Tesco, at least online, and is included in the Tesco Boost offer. :)

I see that it has only 8 GB capacity with no expandable memory, which is slightly unfortunate for app-happy customers.

Is it easily unlockable? I bought the Huawei G300 from Tesco and unlocked it using a Hong Kong trader mentioned in the G300 thread and haven't looked back. If it's easily unlockable, I'm off to Tesco.
