Google owns Motorola and the Android OS, I read this is a loss leader for them. This phone has USB OTG, which means you can connect a tiny USB flash drive for extra storage (via an adaptor) - music, films etc and it can be unlocked for about £2 (source HUKD).
Still no user interchangeable battery but it is relatively cheap.0 -
Now back in stock at Tesco, at least online, and is included in the Tesco Boost offer.
I clicked within an hour or so and got the dreaded message.albionrovers wrote: »
This one costs £129, so £30 more than the 8GB. Is that a good deal?0 -
You can set up email alerts for stock coming back in.
Yes £30 for double storage is well-worth it, especially the diff between 8 and 16 GB. 8GB isn't much at all when you consider a combination of music, photos and apps.
Edit: I read you can USB extra storage too but for £30 I went for the bigger option.0 -
Condidering it is £26 less than the equivalent (SIM free) model on Amazon I would say YES. Granted, you may need to unlock it and it currently costs more than it should (£9?) but still. A game changing phone at a game changing price.
PS Zebrdee, Motorola have made it clear they make a profit on this phone, they apparently kept costs to a minimum by ordering huge stocks initially (I'm sure having Google's squillions behind them helped here).0 -
I'm not a fan of this new standard where they do away with the micro sd slot.
My current Android has a 32 gig card and is 95% full. I know they'll say you can use the cloud for everything. But you'd then need to pay more for a larger data allowance.
Also, I travel a lot. On a 28 hours flight to New Zealand cloud storage is no use...0 -

The lovely thing about Android is the sheer number of phones to choose from - many of which include SD cards. The Moto G is most definitely no good for someone like you, though, correct.0 -
Unlock code for just £2.04

I see from your post in another thread that the 8GB is back in stock.
A bird in the hand ... so I've ordered one.
Using Clubcard Boost, the price is close to £49.50 if you have the right mix of Clubcard vouchers, even more of a bargain.
I couldn't use my £5 off £20 Clubcard coupon, getting the message that it had been used too many times. (!) Not by me, and the unused coupon still shows in my online account. Message sent to Freetime.0 -
Yes, and for people who don't have any clubcard points there's also a £15 off code (for new customers apparently cough) on HUKD. That would make it £84 delivered. £2.04 for the ebay unlock code so £91 for a SIM free Moto G 8GB. Unbeatable bargain.0
