Um, who here has camped out for days? I upgrade my phone when my contract ends like everyone else here I imagine, not a day before, no matter what new release there is. I wouldn't dream of camping out or queuing for hours for anything.

Same here, in fact when my contract ended I didn't upgrade my phone this time, quite happy with my iPhone 4S, which incidentally I got for free.

Ever head of the term 'using a sledgehammer to crack a walnut'?

In pink shoes defence, if all you want to do is a few basic phone things, why pay for the most expensive piece of kit on the market?

You can get a smartphone for around £10 a month that does everything you list? Also, why pay a premium for a highly technical piece of kit, when you have no interest in the technical side? Part of the expense in phones these days is the technology, they're more powerful than computers were a decade ago

Obviously its up to you what you spend your money on, but punk shoes point is people tend to buy things like iphones with no interest in its functionality or what it has to offer, and pay over the odds for it. Why?

Because, as I've said numourous times, I like the interface of it, I've seen loads of other smartphones and I just don't like the way they handle (for want of a better phrase!), besides, I've had this phone for about two years now, and am now moving off my contract to a £11 a month option, suits me, I get to keep the phone and haven't got one iota of interest in upgrading to the latest all signing all dancing phone. To be honest, I don't care that it says Apple on the back....for all I'm bothered it could say Bannana. :rotfl:

What phone do you have Carl?

do you notice how defensive iphone , apple users get , i suppose anyone who's prepared to camp out for days just to get their hands on a lump of over priced , over hyped plastic and metal must be one sandwich short of a picnic;)

I don't think defensive fits my post at all. Quite simply if I disagree with something someone says then I will say so. That post said iPhones are poor quality, and I disagree.

I think its really quite funny how some people are incapable of having their own opinion based on fact. Instead, they generalise, judge and display an innate fear of branding so deep they cannot possibly rationalise their own thoughts about the genuine attributes a product has.

    Camped out?

Nah my contract was up and it was between the galaxy s4 or the iPhone

After deciding which was better for me I simply went into 3 and got the phone the next day

Personally it's better for to have this phone because I can pretty much communicate with my bf (who lives in another part of the country) for free and having unlimited internet means we can always be in contact. On his old phone he never really texted much but now he texts all the time and it's nice to FaceTime each other (which also comes in handy for other things ;) )

My sister also has an iPhone and my mum has an iPod touch so I can FaceTime them too. Plus iMessages are also free for me. Not to mention it has she'd loads of space for apps and for my music too. The camera is perfect for what I need, and streaming Netflix is something I couldn't do on my old samsung phone (which died just before I got this phone).

As I said before my laptop is as good as dead but in the month I have had my iphone I haven't needed to use it as all, in fact I've decided not to replace it as I can do everything on this phone much easier and quicker, plus being on the right package means I won't go over which I was doing on my £20 contract for my samsung

The only thing my iphone says about me is that I got what I felt was the right phone for MY needs

    No, not noticed at all.

What I HAVE noticed is the anti-Apple brigade falling over themselves to prove their superior knowledge and embarrassing themselves.

They all sound like kids in a playground. Calling someone 'one sandwich short of a picnic' because of the phone they carry?

    Grow up.

Why do you feel your view is better or more informed than anyone else?

Why shouldn't people camp out for something if they want to? It's their life, their money, it's perfectly legal and... none of your business... so why so testy? Jealous?

People do the same for games consoles, to see films etc... they are not the majority... they are just the 'enthusiasts'. So what?

No amount of winking smilies take away the underlying nastiness of your posts - they are childish and full of self importance.

    I say again, grow up!

  • Like I asked Carl, what phone do you have nickj? Please do tell, then we can all have a go at you about your choice of phone....but then again, that would be a daft thing to do wouldn't it? ;)

    Hmmm...

You must be better at reading minds than the rest of us...

All I got from her message was:

'I judge people based on objects they own and my opinion is worth more than theirs'.

    In summary, prejudiced and arrogant.

Last time I checked we were entitled to free thought and speech... I am sorry that you and some others don't agree.

Anything you buy says something about you.

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
