This thread has IMV really empowered those of us who do NOT always need company.

It is so good to be happy in your own skin isnt it?

Well it is for me, and the good thing is, (and it is partly true), many others feel the same as us, but will carry on driving themselves nuts playing a game.

I hope I am not being too truthful here! But be true to yourself, and always have a balance.

    Happy Christmas everyone.

Yes, it's good to know we're not 'odd' :D

My DH suggested (half-jokingly) that we get a welcome mat which says "S*d off!" or words to that effect. The subject of socialising came up in a conversation my daughter had at school and one of her friends said "why do you think we live in the middle of nowhere - we hate people!" :D

What an interesting thread. I used to be very shy but now I'm older (and don't care much what other people think of me!), I consider myself very sociable, and confident enough to talk to anyone. We have lots of friends and family whom we see regularly. However, I do get a bit twitchy and grumpy if I feel I haven't had enough time on my own to recharge my batteries. My husband is exactly the same. I'm very happy with my own company and have lived alone in the past, but I also love meeting new people and finding out about their lives. I like a balance between the two.
