Have £405.84 in total
I've decided that I only deserve to spend it if I reach my ideal weight. That is 15kg away... :eek:0 -
little_sweetie wrote: »The rain stopped so I decided to do my bit to support the village and attend the Strawberry Tea at the local Church. I only had £4 left and the entrance fee was £3.50 which meant that I could also buy a plant from the plant stall there (all going to church funds). Anyway, I struggled down the very overgrown footpath to get there (my jeans were sodden) and the lady on the door took my £4, dropped it into her tin and decisively closed the lid! I didn't have the heart to ask for my 50p change
Well, I queued for a cup of tea and sat in a pew at the back of the church to drink it. I made eye contact and smiled but nobody spoke to me. I have never felt so alone as in that beautiful church. I left after 10 minutes, I didn't even have the heart to have my strawberry tea. Now I remember why I stopped going to church on a Sunday

Hugs Little Sweetie, we'd have all talked to you if we had been there (actually you'd have probably wished we would beggar off as we wouldn't have stopped :rotfl:)
Very proud of my DH today as he has decided to do something about his weight and started the 5:2 diet today (im sure I read some of you lovely ladies do this diet so any pointers to keep him motivated would be greatly appreciated as he's been so hungry today bless him). Personally I think he looks perfect as he is, but do acknowledge that from a health point of view he does need to lose a few stone. He's finding it doubly hard as i've been on a weight increase 'diet' for a very long time and it must be awful for him to see me having to force all sorts of food down my throat and he can't have it
Anyway, no pennies as again I just cant be arris'ed to go and get my purseSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
Hi guys!
I got 3 x £2 coins in my change today - lady apologised! I was very cool when I said not to worry, didn't want to do a little jig in public it might have looked odd :rotfl:
Little-sweetie they don't deserve you, next time let us know and we'll go mob-handed and eat all their strawberries and ignore them :rotfl:
Jakes-mum I did the 5:2 for about 3 months last year it really worked for me. Tips - sip water to quell hunger pangs. It's true the hunger comes in waves, it doesn't build and build till it's unbearable, so distraction helpsthe first 2 or 3 weeks are hardest, help him to stick with it and it will get easier
A raw carrot is quite a filling snack and only 25 calories. Strawberries & cherry tomatoes are about 6 cals each and are good for a morale boost! Protein is filling - a boiled egg makes a surprisingly sustaining breakfast! Umm - run out of tips. The 5:2 thread on here can be helpful tho you often get arguments about whether or not it's a good thing to do. My view is, if it works and you can stick with it, why not? You're not harming anyone.

Ty so much rosyq, I have been giving him glasses of water each time he's moaned, we learnt the hard way about the hunger pang waves, I thought he was going to Jack it in at 4pm as it was the first time he's been 'hungry' in many many years! He took to avoiding the kitchen as there was food everywhere (in his words).
He's doing the lighter life one so gets 4 sachets/bars on his fasting days, so he's not actually starving, it's just a huge shock to his body as he can easily eat today's calorie intake in biscuits watching tv :eek:SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

Oh thanks everyone, as usual you have all cheered me up no end :rotfl::rotfl:How I wish we all lived in the same village!
jakes-mum wishing your DH luck with his diet. I do sometimes think men find it harder to cut down. No choc, no beer  especially hard after having such a lovely holiday. Glad you enjoyed yourselves though.
I really only popped in to say I found 1p on the kitchen worktop, not mine  but potted anyhow
Lovely & sunny here so hope you all have the same. Enjoy! xSealed Pot Challenge #012
