A few handfuls of change potted in the week including £3.10 off a cash for clothes shop for 6.2 kilo of clothes. I could cry when I think how many clothes went for that much. :(

    Happy holidays everyone.

I'm glad Jakes-mum mentioned the coinstar machines as no-one seemed to warn Older but not wiser about them. No-one must use those bandits.

Hugs to all who need one especially little _sweetie

I don't think I've ever seen those coinstar machines. But I always just pay mine into the bank.

There's one at our local Asda. When I see people using it I want to stop them and point out how much of THEIR money it keeps :o
But I don't want to be carted away in a van :rotfl: so I just walk past and mind my own business and feel guilty :(
    Hey ho.
    2 sleeps to go

  • Thank you for your lovely kind words lynnejk. I don't have a problem talking to people in the village shop, PO etc, they are all lovely people, it just seems to be the church folk for some reason  When I have helped at other village fundraisers I try to, at least, acknowledge everyone who attends and give them a smile. Perhaps I was just feeling a bit sensitive on that day. I had a lot on my mind.....

Hope your cheque has made an appearance by now x

I know modesty, don't they pay rubbish amounts. In our town the cash 4 clothes shop has loads of stuff for sale at £1 a pop when they have paid pence for a whole bag. At least it's good for the planet if not our pockets

Thanks so much for the hug, it's much appreciated. People on here are so lovely x

56p potted...change from the food shop.

I threw some coppers in the pot this morning, but forgot to count them! got another 68p change from posting today, pot number 2 is doing well, doesn't have that nasty empty sound anymore :j I personally think that all savings tins should come with enough change in them so you never have to suffer 'empty tin syndrome' :rotfl:

DH is on day 2 of he 5:2 diet, we are just going through the hunger wave now, he's had a glass of water and is now having a coffee as the website said that was good to stamp on the pains when they occur. I'm a teeny tiny bit annoyed as he did promise last week to take me out to dinner today, and has obviously forgotten  but then again, I feel like complete poo today so it might be a blessing in disguise :o

How I wish we all lived in the same village!

Oh little-sweetie, it is a terrible thing feeling alone in a crowd of people! More fool them though, they missed out on meeting an exceptional lady who would have no doubt brought a little extra joy to their life. Oh well, we will keep you to ourselves :) Could you imagine us all living in the same village. There would be no roadkill anywhere and none of the shops would have change...except in december... it would be chaos!! lol x

jakes-mum - One of the lads at work is on the 5:2 diet. I am considering trying it if my weight loss stops. My main tip is on the 'free' days, don't use it to eat rubbish all day. filling yourself with carbs and sugar will only make it harder to stay off them for your 2 good days. Soup is good to eat on your good days, it's filling and has very little calories depending on which you choose. Also make sure to drink a lot of water!

I managed to lose about another 0.5Kg this week which i am very happy with :) it is going in the right direction at least!

What is it with men and wanting to pay for everything!! My pot is very happy but my conscience is struggling... I am having to think up ways to force the boyfriend to let me pay for meals 'it makes me happy' and 'i'm not eating if you're always paying' isn't working anymore...

Anyway, i have a some change to go into the pot tonight. I might have more depending on what we do for dinner. I think i'm doing quite well with money this week considering how much i spoiled my friends little girl for her second birthday lol
