Hi Everyone, £1.92 potted today. Just out of curiousity how do you go about getting a coverted gold star from Sue? I think one would look lovely on my sig, but I'd like to earn it :D

Hi all, managed to pot £4.95 yesterday!

Very proud of myself for not missing the change. In the past I've only saved chance under 20p then wondered why it doesn't blossom into a big pot - this time around I've learned that £1 and £2 coins are the answer!

Hello all SPCers, I hope you've had a great day...if not that you will do tomorrow. Huge {{{hugs}}} to all those in need of them

I do hope things are slowly picking up for you and DH, Lynne, it'll all work out soon. :kisses3:

Maybe you've got a fairy in the house, AlwaysHappy, if so send her on...IF you tire of her! :rotfl:

Battle on, Brightspark, save any coins and remember, even if they're small they're a whole lot better than none! :D

I'm the same. I have just over £40 saved so far. What I'm going to start doing is put all the left from the end of the week into my pot too, which would include £1 and £2 coins.

Excellent thinking, Indie Kid, you'll soon be so proud of your pot!!! :jBTW, our M!rrisons coinstar machine is on the left as you go in, but you just ignore it and keep saving in the bank.

Good on you for taking care of DH's Aunt & Uncle, jakes-mum! :A

£5.65 potted today. I'm on the countdown to my holiday now. This time next week, I will be 8hours through a 10 hour flight

Have a wonderful time, 32b3, where are you going? DH & I are off to the New Forest for a week too.

Ah, bless your DS, mumof3plusoh, good to see you dropping in.

Good to hear that no matter what the weather you still enjoyed your holiday, atolaas. :D

So, you're off on Thursday then, Rosy, have a really fantastic time, and.....thoroughly enjoy the whole experience!! :j How long are you away?

Good Heavens above, Modesty!! That is a shocking amount, I think I'd be stunned.

Go on, Hicks, DO IT!!!!! :j

Brilliant going with the weight loss, Ruth, I'm so proud of you! :T

Ahh, they do look lovely on siggies, atolaas, but as you realise, you do need to earn it. They're given out after any acts of kindness to other SPC members, also for a thorough welcome post to new members, though I don't give them out to everyone who welcomes new members, usually the first one. We have such a wonderful lot of folk on here so I'm sure it won't take long for you to start decorating your siggy. ;)

That is absolutely fantastic, lulu 92!!! :T You've so much to be proud of, keep up the amazing work!

I'm sure you're right about your DS, ChevalierTialys, he'll know you cared enough about him for sure. ETO (Evertheoptimist) does the same for her little treasure as do many others. Well done on the £2 find!!

Have a great Wednesday, folks, and happy saving.

  • Hello lovely people :)

Just catching up on your posts. Little Sweetie it sounds like you've got a fairly unpleasant 'clique' at your church but don't take it to heart, after all, would you want to be part of a group like that? Shame on them. Thing is though, group behaviour is a weird thing and I bet that, as individuals, they felt bad about it. Doesn't make it OK of course, but sounds like they are just weak individuals and you are most certainly a much better person.

Thanks all for very helpful advice re banking our potted dosh. I have to admit I have used the Coinstar machines in the past for loose change but would be reluctant to do so now that I'm an MSEr:D I'll nip in to my bank soon to ask them how they want me to do it.

Have managed to pot a few more coins over the last few days, mostly change from grocery shopping, and pot now sounding reassuringly as if it *might* fill up before the big reveal date :D

Glad you're all sounding so well, but hugs to anyone who wants one!
  • Couple of 50p's and some coppers gone in today. Still very slow on the sealed pot, but any is better than none.

I've managed £9 to the pot today which felt amazing, a lovely crisp £5 was part of it - I really don't like to spend new notes which could get expensive.
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

    Hi Sue
I'll be back early next week. I've actually taken 2 extra days off work - tomorrow to faff about and get organised, and Tuesday to sleep! :rotfl: It's going to be pretty full-on

Sorry no potting today but hopefully I'll get some change tomorrow.
    Hope everyone is OK
I want to live in the village full of potters it sounds great :D
