Oooo ty for my star Sue
Very happy today as managed to find my honey on spcial offer at £17.95 a 500g jar (on the manufacturers own website) instead of £44 :j :j so bought 4 and they were delivered today. Can now take back the jar I bought on thursday to h0lland and barrat and get a refund as my 4 jars will last me 8 months which gives H&B time to put them back on penny sale!
Wish I could afford to put my saving in the tub but unfortunately not that flush
Am off out with DH to buy him some scales so hoping for a bit of change later onSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

I'm the same. I have just over £40 saved so far. What I'm going to start doing is put all the left from the end of the week into my pot too, which would include £1 and £2 coins.

Hello there - back to it today with a fabulous 5 lovely £2's for the tin - happy days!!! Also had a "new" £20 left from our weekend away so have added that to the pot too, though didn't want to crease it so have put that in a wallet at the side.I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

I only had £4 left and the entrance fee was £3.50 which meant that I could also buy a plant from the plant stall there (all going to church funds). Anyway, I struggled down the very overgrown footpath to get there (my jeans were sodden) and the lady on the door took my £4, dropped it into her tin and decisively closed the lid! I didn't have the heart to ask for my 50p change
Well, I queued for a cup of tea and sat in a pew at the back of the church to drink it. I made eye contact and smiled but nobody spoke to me. I have never felt so alone as in that beautiful church. I left after 10 minutes, I didn't even have the heart to have my strawberry tea. Now I remember why I stopped going to church on a Sunday
Sorry to hijack the thread again, dear Sue, but I needed to talk to someone.....Thank heavens for friends in the box. God Bless you all x
Aw, how horrible for you. I know it's sometimes difficult to meet new people when they are all in a crowd and seem to know each other.
Maybe you can get to talk to someone in a local shop/po/whatever and get to know a few people that way. Summer is a good time to walk in the sunshine and maybe get to know your neighbours.
Or, if you have the time, catch the local bus and try chatting to people at the bus-stop. All the best in getting to know a few folks.
I came to work expecting my cheque to be here, I spoke to someone earlier, but the relevant person isn't coming in today so will have to wait for it to go through system and get posted - so still nothing to pot
Hope you all have a terrific Tuesday

Well been out, got some scales and have a few pennies for the pot
Popped in to see DH's elderly aunt and uncle and had a  moment when he said he had been collecting change and was going to take it to the local c0instar machine in the supermarket  , told him 'no you bloomin well are not! they charge 8%, i'll count it, bag it and change it at the bank for you if you want'
Felt quite good about how much he trusted me as he handed his pot to meits all now counted and bagged up correctly with the odd bits left over back in his pot, will go and change it all at the bank tomorrow and then DH will run it over to him when he goes to get the kindle I had to buy for my dad at Mr T (haha technophobe finds it easier just to give me the money than have me explain how to order it himself)
