20p from last night potted and another 20p from this morning potted.
I had a bit of a panic last night - I'd gone to the train station and paid for my ticket in cash, which would give me £5.70 in change and went through my coat pocket and was a bit worried when I only found one £5 (from dad) in there. I then remembered that the train station ticket machines never give out £5 notes as change.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

2 lovely £2's for the pot today - seem like new and brought a smile to my face as they were potted.I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

It might be a bit late for me but I've started a pot now! Putting all of my change in there (although I started getting taxis to work so they will give me change to put in the pot....might be counter productive..)

Morning all
Good luck with the walk rosy, I'll be thinking of you :kisses3:You mentioned the C word in June, little_sweetie?????? Disgraceful.More Ebaying moments then - good luck.
Sorry, dear Sue, but I do love Ch****mas and need to prepare well in advance. I will be making cards any day now :rotfl::rotfl:
My eB*y takings of £16 banked (siggy updated), the odd 50p potted along with 4p in copper which DH found for me whilst buying petrol yesterday. He would normally have ignored it and left it on the ground but picked it up and handed it to me proudly. It's taken a while but he's becoming trained!
I hope the new car is great Sue , and your potting is amazing! Welcome to any new potters, everyone is doing so well
Have a lovely sunny day everyone xSealed Pot Challenge #012

Thanks very much. I've sorted out my pot now - using an old Kilner jar with an airtight lid. We have one upstairs for leftover food shopping money (£300 saved in five months!) so I'm using this one for coins.
Counted all the shrapnel that's in various purses and handbags so my first deposit to the pot was a whopping £22! I was so happy that I went to the shop with my £10 note, bought some chocolate and put the change in there too!Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

Wow lulu 92 - you are off to a fabulous start, well done you!!
So far today, I've added from my purse, and 2 20p's - I've done 2 loads of washing and each time, there has been a 20p left in the drum - bizarre - the 2nd load was sheets!! Not that I'm complaining......I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0 -
G'morning all
I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but I'm a bit OCD about getting things clear in advance as I do seem to have an astonishing capacity to get things in a muddle
So could anyone tell me how we go about banking all our potted dosh later in the year? Will the bank just take all my £2/£1 coins loose or do I need to put them in bags? I've read elsewhere on this thread that I need to put the smaller coins into bags and take them to the bank a bit at a time, is that right?
Thanks for your help0 -

Thanks I'm very proud of myself - it's got pound coins in it!!
Older but Not Wiser - I used to work in a bingo hall so I plan on going there and exchanging my pound coins if I have a few, but I might also borrow the jetsort machine which sorts all manner of coins in seconds - I wish I had one at home..Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

I'm not sure how helpful this will be. I bank with Bank of Scotland and I know that one particular branch I go to will accept as many bags of change as I want to give them as long as I pay them in at the business banking counter. They won't accept them at the ordinary tellers. I'm not sure about other branches. That may also be the case with other banks but I'm not sure there either. I do know that the limited bag rule was because of space in safes but if the branch deal with business banking then they will have more space than just a small local branch. Just ask at your local branchMortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
