Sparky is back! :j Glad you're feeling a bit better, hun.
I hope the bread was successful, little_sweetie, darned moreish though I'll bet a bob! T & I are fine thanks, good to hear you & G are also. Be with you shortly, honest! BTW, (this is about 1/4 hr later than tother) but your post wan ideal way to answer blue_mango and for that you've earned a gold star, for the lovely welcome to fishfins too. Thanks a lot. :staradmin
Wow, another gold star! Thank you Sue! :T (BTW don't worry, I know how busy you are) The bread turned out remarkably edible for a first attemptI made 2 small loaves and have frozen one for later in the week. I've had a lovely relaxing day baking and I've prepared a crumble topping for some fruit crumble for tea :A

I'm not sure if I should count it all up and put it in a separate bank account just so that at the end of the year I won't have a sackful of coins to carry to the bank. If I do bank it I think I'll have to cut up my debit card so I'm not tempted to "borrow" it and not put it back
Have you thought about opening a separate account for any banked cash? I have an online Building Society account which I transfer any banked money into then I can decide in November if I need to use it for Christmas or can afford to leave it in for a rainy day fund. That way you can perhaps avoid temptation?
Regarding lots of cash bags...I have found that no-one wants to change them but HS*C & Barcl*ys will let me pay them in to my account without question. However, the most I have tried was about 6 at a time. I try to use the copper from my purse when paying for things (hopefully) leaving me silver to potSealed Pot Challenge #012

We found a Olympic Triathlon one which is quite rare and has been selling for around £5 on ebay. Okay it's not £300 odd quid but it will still have increased the 50p she was given this morning!! She swapped her normal 50p for the special one and I've put it on ebay for her. Will be really pleased for her if she is able to increase the money she was given to help more people!! :A
Oh mossy, what a lovely idea. I hope she gets lots of cash for it, bless her. You are bringing her up wellSealed Pot Challenge #012

Sparky! You're back! :T:j
We were all getting so worried about you. I thought that nasty ex neighbour of yours had come back and kidnapped you. I glad you're feeling better now. I hope they've left all the roadkill in the canteen for you.
Potted £2.39 yesterday, nothing today.
Sue, the black dog is another name for depression. There's a lot of people on MSE who know what I mean.
Welcome to our new potters, enjoy the madness. :rotfl:
Hugs to all.

Hello all,
OMG! I am amazed at the total for last year, well done to everyone involved!:)
It is really great to read of everyone saving. No matter how much we are saving weare still saving – well done everyone!
Welcome to everyone who has recently joined, it is incredibly addictive!
Congratulations to all of those who have given up smoking, I totally admireyou. I would like to give up but my counsellor says that it is an emotionalcrutch that I need at the moment – I will give up eventually!
jakes-mum, I am really glad that your chicken turned out ok – it is agreat achievement that you trusted yourself! I know how hard it can be, I haveOCD (I hope that I haven’t over stepped the mark here, I apologise if I have).
Ahh thank you so much for my lovely star Sue, I have just put it in my signature. Also (Sorry this is slightly off topic) I have finally updated my signaturewith my DMP payments – have cleared £6547.00!
smiffy64 - I hope that you were able to achieve your goal!
beccah - I work in the support field for people with developmental issues, if Ican let be of help please let me know!
It is good to hear from you Sparky, I hope that you will continue to get better!
Exciting news! I found my first bit of roadkill – a lovely and shiny 5p coin.Woohoo! In other potting news I have found that if I keep a money bag in my handbag it is a handy holding place.
I do have a couple of questions, I won £10 on a scratch card yesterday – would Ibe allowed to pot that? Also, at the end of the month I am planning to open mytin to bag up and pay in any eligible change, I am going to withdraw itstraight after and put it back in my tin as I know that I will spend it if Ikeep it in the bank - do I need to declare it in my signature?

Looking to save at least £225 (£25/£50/£150)
Cant wait too count it all, had to change my penny pot twice!
***Edit***
All 4 pots will be added up into one sealed pot amount, they are only opened when i need to change pots to something bigger!0 -

Ha ha, well I try.She then suggested that instead of putting change in my lovely sealed pot we should put it in a jam jar for Links...I nearly passed out!!:D However she melted me when she said, "Helping other people and saving their lives is more important than money for Christmas!"
Aww she's a good'en, I might share some of my change with her little jam jar but I don't want my pot to get too hungry!Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -
Fishfins, you are doing good! Never be disappointed by the pennies, there are days when the best you can do is 1p - still it's better than nothing and all small things add up!
Thanks for the encouragement! I also found 48p in the car so have added that. I'm loving this challenge so far! So much wasted money lying around.
Thanks Sue too for the warm welcome0 -
Evening all.
Sparky - lovely to see you posting again. Take care.
ModestyB - "black dog" is a new one to myself also.
Potted 4 x £1 coins to start the week.
