Potted a couple of pounds yesterday and took my own advice about the holding pot as I think I might have underestimated what I need for bus fares this month Aiming for a NSD so there won't be any potting - if I manage it that'll be 15 for the month which is the most I have ever managed

Well I'm Potting another £1.84 this morning....might have some more to Pot later, I'm off out to do a bit of Food Shopping...so we'll see if I have anything to Pot...

Been a bit AWOL this week... Life getting in the way of my best laid plans Still been potting though... around £6 of change in tin this week, not sure exactly as OH has decided to come on board & contribute coppers.... and only coppers. Problem is that I'm expected to now half the bounty at the end of it :eek: so cunning plan being put into place... Going to decant anything higher than a 5p into another "secret" pot :shhh: I'm intending for the money to go towards paying for Xmas this year to help both of us out a bit... But know if I gave OH half of the money, it'd be spent on rubbish! I'm not usually a devious person... Honest!

thanks sue i just felt like id let myself and all of you down but that was probably just the disappointment talking. think i will do as mooomin suggested and keep smaller coins in the sealed pot and larger coins in an emergency fund pot

Please do keep on Posting hun....I also had to dip into my Pot earlier this month and felt like I shouldn't come back....but everyone has welcomed me back with open arms....

This Challenge is NOT a race....some people get loads and sprint through it...and for some it's a nice rambling winding walk through the Countryside....But you WILL get there in the end....and hey, even if you only end up with a small amount come opening time, it's still more than you would have ended up with if you hadn't saved at all...

So please please keep on Posting and let us know how you're getting on...you are still VERY welcome in this Thread...

Have been Shopping...got enough for the next few days....and I'm planning on making Bolegnase later on (please forgive my Spelling )....which should last me for at least 2 or 3 days....Yum Yum!!

Well said Dreamer Helen, we all have different circumstances, incomes and ways of doing the challenge that suit us personally. Even then there may be tweaks along the way as life does its thing!! The main thing is we are in it together and encouraging everyone - especially those struggling. ANYTHING we manage to save is better for our future plans.
My potting today - £2.50, a lovely £2 coin and a 50p. I couldn't spend a £2 coin now, though its funny, was thinking £2 in smaller change would have been more satisfying to pot!!
