Well my sealed pot is filling up nicely ...I started on 29th November! No idea at all how much might be in there but it is one of those pots from poundland that you cant open and it feels very heavy!! I am doing the £1 a day challenge too...and also the make £10 a day challenge and so far so good.....
Hoping for a nice amount to take on hols in the summer and a nice amount for Xmas this year...it will make a change rather than worrying about where our holiday and xmas cash is coming from!! Hope everyone else is doing well xx

Hi Gilly, our Sue had to change all our numbers as there were far too many 'unoccupied' as it were. Your new number is 169 I believe. Please check page one to make sure I got it right. :)
    All the best. M.

    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Afternoon all.

lynnsey30 - mooomin is right. The pot helped and will help again.
Keep your chin up and wishes for the remaining 10 months (almost).

Just potted a single 20p coin, but found another 5p road-kill (well left at the counter).

Still going for it though. Just slowly. Very slowly.

  • Potted another €2 from my tutoring today. I also had a NSD as the only money I spent was travel for work and I get that back!

Hoping to aim for the same tomorrow. I was going to go to the shops and have a little look around as I have the day to myself but I think instead I'm gonna aim to get my room cleaned and go to the gym upstairs which is free!

10p potted today. Better than nothing, I suppose. In my defence, I haven't spent much money recently so there's just no change to go in!! :)

If that would work best with you, ChristmasCarol, then why not! Use at the most important time for you is all I'd suggest. ;) If you do use it for your holiday then do please pot it on your signature.

Naughty thoughts eh, WishICouldFindMySlippers, best leave it if it's really hers. :naughty: All best wishes with the project, I do hope it works out well for you.

Good potting, Lynsey, you sound very chuffed with yourself, though why not. You DON'T pot 5ps?!!!!!!! What are you allergic to em!!!

I just LOVE the <<<"Became a non smoker on 26/01/2014 :j ">>> on your siggy and couldn't be more delighted for you!!! :T Hard work pays such huge rewards and, keep that up, and you'll be benefitting for LIFE which is the fantastic gift you're giving yourself!!!!!! :j Stay focused and positive, you're doing yourself proud.

Aha, 32b3, if you don't NEED things then it then quickly becomes a waste of hard-earned cash. Believe me, DH needed them all; he's a lousy shopping partner (though an absolute angel in every other way) which makes it a problem for me as, for health reasons, I need him there, but we're known to have the occasional word or sixty two!

Excellent saving on the bus far, moomin! :j

£19.51 - not bad considering I thought it would be a bad week. Also got back payment of £103 but had a parking ticket of £65 so gonna try and bank the excess if poss.

That's excellent potting, Cash4AnnyQ!! Well done on the back payment, though :D but....bad news about the ticket. :(

{Quote=DreamerHelen]Thanks Sue....It's just a really long Story so I won't tell all....but Therapy is a requirement of my Course so I can't stop it....

BUT...Have had a Chat with Mum tonight and feel a lot better about things....Aren't Mum's GREAT!!

Definitely feeling a LOT chirpier right now....:D[/quote]

No worries, Helen, just so long as all's well. I'm so pleased you had a listening ear from your Mum...and yes, they are great!! :kisses3:

    Well saved, skilly.

Ok and well saved, lucyhope, your DD's Wedding will soon come round, bet she's so looking forward to it all, you too.

So fed up dd3 needs new shoes and the only money I have is in my pot so I'm extremely sorry sue but iv had to empty it :( lost all motivation

That's fine, lynnsey, we all get set backs, but fact is your little treasure (or big one) needed shoes and you didn't have the cash. C'est la vie. You've done the wise thing, but now you start straight back and save! Where savings concerned you can't afford to throw in the towel. Chin up and best foot forward and move on with a smile on your face. :grinheartWill you do that - for you?! Lots of {{{hugs}}} for you. ;)

Good advice re the holding pot, moomin, thanks. A gold star for you. :staradmin

    Not to worry, katsta1, it'll soon be Feb...when DH & I have 4. :(

no saving for couple of days. DD went off to live in US and spent a couple days packing, saying bye, hugs, chats, laughs etc. I am excited for her and will miss her heaps

    Just came to wave hello

Very excited for her, but tinged with sadness of fledging the nest, he, Sam?! A horrible time, but hopefully she'll be back every so often - or you could go to her, the latter has all sorts of possibilities with great excitement. Keep looking forward, but loving the memories she's given you, she'll have loads of you! Lots of {{{hugs}}} for you and thank Heavens for e-mails and Skype. :D

Oh bless you, Modesty, thanks so much for noticing that. It merits a gold star. :staradmin I've just noticed your siggy, it took me right back to how brilliant you both were and still are :A

A very wise view of your savings, AlwaysHappy, very, very true. ;)
Couple of pennies chucked in so far. All my spare money going on paying debt so far!!

Still going for it though. Just slowly. Very slowly.

Pennies have a habit of adding up to become £££s, addicted2shopping, and at least you're doing your level best to get sorted out, be very proud of yourself. ;)

    Good for you, tatabubbly.

No defence necessary, Vicky, I mean....as if. :D

Enjoy your evening, SPCers, and keep right on saving tomorrow!! :D

PLEASE NOTE everyone: It's time to change your numbers! You'll see there are LOADS less names and numbers now, but it's useless having folk on the list that no longer save with us. However, if old members return then you'll be made very welcome and can still have your name added and be given a new number. :D Please change numbers ASAP folks.
