Had a really bad night coughing and breathing difficulties. Will try and get in Drs tomorrow as it's going too long. Chest hurts so much.
Going to sit in hot bath all morning. Shattered may put off grandson today not up to it.
Have a good day folks.
No drinking in the Junis challenge argh. Haven't drank all Xmas and my wine rack is overflowing. Looking forward to a drink when better.
Got a lodger returning for just over week on 1st Jan so an extra 100 pounds to throw at the debt. Providing he doesn't want a refund for my coughing keeping him awake :T

Hullo Gang
Hope you're all keeping well this morning. Calling sorry to hear youre still chesty and feeling poorly after your efforts to treat your symptoms, go see the doctor.. Hugs
Fyggy as a fellow NHS'er (also keeping ones ears to the ground on the job front) Im excited on your behalf.. New year, new beginnings in true Janus style and no more nights again! _party_
Well my intention to have an early Saturday night didnt quite turn out as planned as I got very rock and roll at around midnight and started peeling and preparing my yellow sticker 5p sprouts, 9p neeps and 10p mushrooms for freezing
Im glad to say that after the Christmas splurge I am in 'The Zone' again and have rolled up my sleeves ready to take on Janus with gusto! While Im in this mindset I can move mountains :T
Although I should really take a closer look at Kat's challenge first
Bye for now :wave:Ninja Saving Turtle

Sorry to hear you are still unwell Calling. I hope you can get in the docs to be checked out.
Ah I'm so annoyed, I just added up the receipts from DH's epic shopping trips on monday and he over spent by £58.98:eek::eek:
So that has to come out of the January shopping budget so now i have £150 to last till the 25th :mad: I am going to have to plan carefully! Still I love a challenge!
DH keeps moaning about how much money he has spent recently but I said he really needs to keep track and only spend what he needs. He wanted some oil for the car and said he wanted to drive 12 miles to get some from Halfords as it's cheaper and look round the cheap shops I said by the time he has driven there and back he may as well have bought it locally:mad:,Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -

Happy Sunday one and all :j ,
Have a safe trip back to Laaaaaandaaaaaan NSK (Not sure what dialect I was attempting to depict there).
Calling 14 - I agree on the Dr's front, keep yourself wrapped up and warm and the usual plenty of fluids!
Traveller- Hope your bug passes quickly for you!
IWillSucceed - Your name says it all! Well done on your superb effort this year!
MrsGSR - I concur with you! Balancing the cost of driving further afield with the cost of the product can make for little difference in over all expenses! I feel your frustration!
PhoeniX- The campervan book is called: 'The Campervan Cookbook- Life on 4 Wheels, Cooking on 2 Rings' and it's by Martin Dorey (Recipes by Sarah Randell). I can't stop dipping into it still!
Big family get together yesterday has left me feeling super lazy today (lots of driving and another big clean up), but it was great to have a catch up with my family after a year! It was a spend day as had to put money in for cost of part of the travelling.
I will try and pull myself together and get out today, while the weather is sunny! I will be visiting a friend and staying over tonight. Looks like another Spend day as my broom broom really needs some fuel, just wonder how long it will take to get her off the driveway today (I have a very awkwardly located driveway-corner plot) and very inconsiderate neighbours with badly parked cars who make my exiting a bit of an Austin Powers experience. (Backwards, forwards, backwards forwards, turn a bit, backwards, forwards, turn a bit etc...) It would be easier to ask them to move their car but the car that is there appears to change every couple of days so I never know who they belong to! Gah!! Wish me luck!
Right best get up and about! Enjoy the rest of your Sun(ny)day's!:coffee:

We have mostly enough ratty food for Jan but may need another bag of mix for a fiver. However i may look into buying bigger bags online cheaper. I do supplement their food with weetabix, pasta, fruit and veg and leftovers which we don't miss and don't count to pet budget btw.
Ooh, rat budgeting, my favourite topic! What food do yours get, PurpleJay? Mine get a fairly expensive mix from the Rat Rations website, but every bit of it gets eaten - when I try to give them anything else, half of it's wasted and mix bought from the local pet shop is crazily expensive - tiny bags of mix cost £5!
Have your tried giving them some of the cat snacks? My boys love Dreamies and regularly get fancy cat food for some protein (I'm vegetarian, so they don't get meaty leftovers from me!) Also recently bought a bag of Good Boy dog choc drops from Poundland - you get so much more than the bags of rodent snacks and I thought if they didn't like them I'd just pass them on to a friend with a dog... they have been declared the best treats ever, so I hope they're still in stock next time I go in!
NSD for me today because I'm refusing to leave the house - so tired at the moment. Need to get a couple of hours of work done and then probably go back to sleep - it's hard being this rock & roll, you know!
Calling14 - get thee to the doctor or we'll all come and drag you there! Get some nice strong antibiotics and cosy up for a few days until you feel human againFebruary: 5/15 NSD0 -
And PheoniX - just read your signature properly: WOW! Amazing achievement! Rooting for you in January and incredibly impressed!February: 5/15 NSD0

Evening all,
Definitely time for a trip to the doctor Calling!
Today has been a SFDso now I'm up to 13/15
Tomorrow should be a SFD too as we have plenty of food in (including bread and milk for OH) and plenty of fresh food for my diet. I need coffee as my mum and dad are popping over but as we don't drink it, I asked my mum to bring some with her! Feel very cheeky but I don't want to lose a SFD and buy something we don't need/use, is this mean?
Been to the gym today and walked the dogsand going again tomorrow
I'm starting to get really apprehensive about juggling my diet, exercising more, work and debt busting. I am a huge worrier and stress head, and the thought of managing all of the above, plus the normal routine stuff, is making me stressed. What if I don't have time for the gym? or to prepare the fresh food for my diet? and I usually work at home every weekday evening so I don't know how I'm going to fit everything in. Oh and I have my tutees to tutor again after next week  I need more hours in the day and days in the week.
Hope everyone has had a good dayLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Hi everyone, I'm very pleased
Next month is going to be super tight (I feel your pain, Mrs GSR). My sister has just come round to bring her christmas gifts - 4 tins of biccies and other snacks. This means I can now cross them off my shopping list :T She was apologetic, but also confused at my beaming smile
She said you look like i've just given you a million pounds, lol! I much prefer stuff I need than expensive pressies that I don't,lol. I just thought I 'd share my joy,lol
