    She is really cute. She's drawn pictures and written letters to me before. She does it off her own back and the only involvement my sister has is writing my address on the envelope :D
  • Yes I thought a chuckle on Granny's behalf was welcome on Christmas day... she was roasting... little pink cheeks while mulling over her Sudoku..

    Ahem.... the "occasional" bacon butty..... YUCK!.. Go proper veggie you naughty lady!!!:rotfl:

    I'm not a veggie now NSK. The incident at the butchers was why I chose to be a vegetarian then. Funny enough I do eat mostly vegetarian food but wouldn't dream of saying I was a vegetarian. I don't know why I don't do it fully.
    In the 70's I worked in a food co-operative and we were always campaigning for animal welfare so I know the stories.
    I think it might be the time to commit myself to this again.
    Funny enough, I cooked pork for dinner today for those that wanted it but I had nut roast.

    Happy belated Christmas everyone!!

    No real excuse other than between sleeping, working, pressies and eating, I never even had the laptop on.

    Hope everyone had a brilliant day.

  • Quick check in whilst my Nan is nodding off in the chair next to me, Dad is playing on his new super duper computer and Mom is just back from the gym.

    Managed to come in just under on my food budget and bang on on my petrol budget. As for the spends budget, I have no clue!!!

    There is still some money in my christmas present account and I still have cash in my wallet and jeans. I haven't tracked what I've spent since Sunday though. I am just going to total it all up next Wednesday to see what is left.

    Already changed things for next year though, I've got a standing order all set for presents to a seperate account.

    Lost track of my spend days to, so I will have to get a calendar and check my spending sheet and do a count up.

    Didn't even get a SFD yesterday, because we went to the pub and i had to buy a round of drinks.

    Having a great time with my family and godsons though, it was great watching them open their presents yesterday morning, 21,18 and 17 and still mega excited.

    Rugby match to watch later with two of the boys playing so probably won't be a spend free day and tomorrow I travel back and would imagine I'll have to stop for some supplies at some point. Then it's work work work until 3rd of January.

    Merry Christmas all DDD-ers!:) Hope everyone had a lovely day yesterday.

    We had a lovely day at OH's parents, eating tons (obviously) and playing games. Off to my parents today, which will be quieter but still lovely. Although we do have to teach them to use their Kindle Fire, which may be a challenge! Mum can be a bit techno-phobic.... Wish us luck!! :D

    Well definitely got bronchitis been up since 4am. Coughing my heart out. Went to garage at 8am and came back with heaps medicine. There goes my Sfd. Staying in and keeping warm rest day. Dog has had one walk, quite icey up here.

    Thanks Stewby my 2yr grandson firing his buzz lightyr gun and saying sorry to the dog was so sweet. Cheered me up.

    Gutted missing out on playtime with his new toys today but good for nothing.

    Have a great boxing day folks.

  • Hello Hobbitses....:wave::wave::wave:

    LOOK AT THE LUNATICS QUEING OUTSIDE NEXT!!! I honestly cannot believe that people are there from 0400 in the morning to buy CLOTHES! I like my bed way too much to want to do that!

    Anyone guilty of this madness in previous years? Apparently Selfridges has queues from 2330 yesterday and Harrods were giving out canapes...?

    MADNESS!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    I have just had Christmas dinner number two - not sure about you but its a tradition I rather love.

    More importantly our dog is 15 year old today.. he is proper old now.. but sat in the house with us in front of the fire..

    Glad to see you are all looking forward to January's challenge. I think I need to have a proper think about what I can challenge you all with.... it clearly can't be too hard cause that can be disheartening... too easy and you will think I have gone soft...

    So I shall be thinking a lot for the next day or so... so keep eyes open for January's **inset name** 2014.......:rotfl:

    What's this NSK? Do we have to update our numbers. I'm a bit of a newbie on here so not sure what happens at the start of a new year.
    I definitely want to do the next challenge so will you count me in or let me know if I have to do something?
    Thanks very much and thanks for motivating me. x

    I'm afraid I was one if them, got there at 5.45, shop opened at 6 but didn't get in until 7.15!!! I was not happy! I never usually queue after it opens or have to wait fir other people to come out. Apparently some were there from 1.30!!!!!!

    I got a few bargains for OH and I and all my bday cards and gift wrap for next year :) all thanks to gift vouchers :)

    Unfortunately, this afternoon the kettle broke. My OH drinks tea all day everyday so popped to Asd4 hoping for a bargain in the sales. Got a gorgeous red kettle (but not in the sale :( ) but now we're home I realise it's the wrong red to match the kitchen :( Not sure I can be bothered to take it back tho! :o

    So today was a spend day but tomo should be SFD and I'm starting a The Skinny Rules and intend to visit the gym! Wish me luck/motivation!
