    Happy xmas! :rudolf::santa2::xmastree::xmassmile:snow_laug:xmassign::snow_grin

Today has been a spendy day as I have been doing sales shopping! But gifts for other people!

Got stepmum the expensive bath things she likes for half price. Got some for mothers day, bday and xmas! Budget was £20 per occasion and spent £14 but got £28 worth :)

Got nana and mum mothers day gifts from body shop along with sister and brothers gf bday and xmas pressies. They were just over 40% off but got further 25% off as first order! And 14% cash back hopefully(code wasn't from quidco so not sure if I will get it).

    So successful day!

Got loads of lovely pressies and am very stuffed!

Hope everyone has had a lovely day! Xx

    Merry Christmas everyone :)

Hope you have all had a lovely day :)

    SFD for me :)

I have been very lucky and got several vouchers and cash gifts so I will go sale shopping tomorrow with a list of things I need. I will also keep an eye out for reduced items that can become gifts for the coming year.

I am feeling very guilty as I have spent most of my personal budget and a third of my food budget :( I have £60 from tutoring that I haven't paid into my account so I think I will use this to see me through until the end of January payday. I have also paid £20 for a months gym trial and bought a very essential sports bra so if I go to gym instead of socialise I shouldn't need to spend anymore money, fingers crossed.

  • Just popping in to say merry Christmas to you all - thank you so much for all of your support and chatter over the last couple of months, it is very (very, very, very!) much appreciated!

nd, because you are the only people in the world who will appreciate this: I think the best part of today was realising how soon the end of the month is, which means NEW SPREADSHEET TIME! :D

  • I know its late but I'd like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas :) Hope you all had a good day. I had my girls staying last night and they woke me at stupid o'clock very excited to open their presents, the rest of my family arrived at 9am so its been chaotic but lovely day. Not done to well with the SFDs, have now totally lost count of them, ive still got a little drop food money left, I've not blown the budget completely. Anyway hope everyone else is doing ok :)
    Total debt - £16,687.86 approx. - Paid so far - £13,156.30 - £350. a month to DMP - DFD 17/01/2019 But I WILL make it sooner!!
  • SO I have literally been sat in my pyjamas ALL day watching TV or using facebook and MSE. I think this makes me a bit lazy... however the comments you all have left amuses me greatly and I also let Mumsy on to have a read and she has been chuckling to herself... (mainly at roasting Granny cause she knows it's true)...

We have had to open the windows cause the room got SO hot... there were also some "outdoor" flip flops that anyone can use for the coal bucket run left a little too close to the fire and have subsequently melted... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: (only a little though)...

I have updated my NEW spreadsheet with my payslip that has been published...(I am 49p better off that I thought I would be..:rotfl:)..

Yes I have seen pictures of LOTS of presents for kiddies on FB has riled a few people... I got a book on the History of Ireland from my brother. And that was it.. when I was a kid - it was one present and be grateful for it!!! :rotfl:

Kangadoo I cannot wait until payday..although it means the end of Home Time with the family and back to the grindstone.. I do get to start really getting rid of things I don't want... selling items on fleabay.. plotting a very clean, pristine and down-sized room in the new flat and seeing MONEY in my savings account... so yes I understand it!!!.. And we like supporting you!:)

Right... I need something else to eat...:):):)

Happy Christmas everyone :xmassmile It sounds like a good day has been had by all! I'm enjoying reading all the posts from everyone.

Just to counteract the pile of presents stories - one of my nieces cried (yip, she actually cried!) because Santa left her two presents when she only asked for one :rotfl:

I've just been informed by my sister that she's written me a thank you letter (my niece, not my sister :)) and wants her to write my address on the envelope - she's 5!
  • Popping in quickly to say a belated Happy Christmas to you all.
Obvs a SFD here, had a lovely time all in all. We were outside most of the morning, with a late lunch and then a fair amount of TV, chatting, computer etc.
Off to bed now, Hope all is well in your lives
    Seriously money saving
  • Siouxsie the little one sounds so lovely... hope Mum lets her write it herself. My mum used to give me paper with very faint lines on it.. a pre-scripted letter that I copied word for word. I loved doing this as a child and makes me super confident as an adult writing letters... I have even been complimented on them - lol!
