All going OK at the moment although the NSD's are proving elusive as finding it hard to plan foodwise at the moment as have had people over for meals at the last minute so that has involved a few dashes to the shops.

Feeling quite Christmassy at the moment but the Christmas socialising is starting already with school events all kicking off. Nativity tomorrow, looking forward to it although my littlest was offered the starring role of Joseph and turned it down as he wanted to be a shepherd!! He is a stubborn little chap!

Oh dear, I need to confess... Just bought a takeaway for OH and I, even though I went over my budget already. I blame it on the remnants of my hangover, my OHs sad little face because he's knackered after sleeping on the floor whilst I was ill in our bed and mainly my lack of will power.

However, tomorrow is Monday so I will have renewed enthusiasm and motivation, plus I used my tutoring money to pay off more of my ccard so Ive now paid off 9.3% of my debt in 3 months :)

    HI everybody,

I took daughter and DGS to see Santa yesterday, at 16months old DGS was too young to realise the importance of the event and didn't blink an eye when the man himself walked past 'ho-ho-ho-ing'. He did come away with a remote control Thomas The Tank engine though which I'm pretty sure a lot of the adults will enjoy playing with ;)

The whole event was no cost :T

Today I've had a quiet lazy day at home as Hubby is in bed before he goes on night shift and I have to be a quiet as a mouse. Which is a great excuse for sitting around and not doing very much :T

So that's another 2 SFD under my belt.

    Scores on the doors:-
    SFD 4 /15
    Food 121.92/187.50 65.02%
    Petrol /75.00
    Hair /56.25
    "Spend Money" /18.75
    Post Office 5.69/18.75 30.34%
    Food Bank 5.07/ 5.00 101.4%

    Budget 132.68 / 361.25 = 36.72%

    Personal Challenge
    Declutter 11 / 10 (5 x Christmas stockings/2 x cushion covers/1 x pr trousers/single duvet/jacket/shopping bag)

Had to pick up my jacket from a friend this morning and the petrol light came on as it was 20 mi away and had to drive them twice in 24 h, so unexpected £20 put in as i couldnt expect OH to cover that. Then did my grocery shop in aldi but forgot to use my voucher, grrrr.....Spend 70 quid but 20 of that was our christmas goose and £7 for a duck for a little treat roast dinner tonight. DS and the cat enjoyed it too. I was low on meat, veg and fruit so that was the rest, only necessities. But still only at SFD number 4.

Will add my receipts to my signature tomorrow.

Also been busy replacing a bathtub seal, making chrstmas salt dough ornaments for the grandpatents with DS and writing most of pur christmas cards and bottling the HM orange & craberry infused vodka.

No SFD today as needed new xmas tree as legs had gone missing from old one. Got it up and looks good. :xmastree:Unfortunately the cat agrees! :rotfl:He is being locked out of living room when no one is in there until he can behave (don't think that will happen!)

Been reading a few healthy eating books including lean and clean. Suggests eating organic is best. Wondered what peoples thoughts are in here as know a few of you eat well? Checked some prices in Mr m and seems way more! Also thought of starting Manuka honey but is £10 jar in Mr m opposed to 99p for my usual savers one. I eat 2 jars of honey per month as have it in porridge and stir fry so £18 pm increase just in honey is a lot! Ate in New Zealand though and it did taste sooo much nicer

    Hi,

I hold my head in shame :o I was doing well until I realised that a jacket I wanted for my son has been reduced on the Harrods site. I've wanted it ever since I saw it and I ended up spending £135.00 on a few items for him. I'd said at first i'd spend £30 per child, then £60 and now it's gone to how it was before  The problem with me is I get too emotional when it comes to the children and never stick at anything. Yet the other day, I had every reason why I could not buy a frock for a fiver and stuck to it! I may actually cancel the order. Because I'm not doing christmas dinner this year, I technically have a bit extra, but this month is an expensive month-I think I've lost my way a bit :o:o:o I'm off to give myself a good talking to!

Hi, I find organic chicken very filling, so you fill full a lot quicker than with normal chicken. It certainly goes a long way. I don't eat it all the time, but I do like asd@s range.

  • Evening all.. am still at work ready to leave in 20 minutes and counting... Clippy_Girl get a Christmas cactus - puddy-tat will think twice about climbing it.... :rotfl:

Naughty Traveller... he will grow out of that in no time then what..? Perhaps if you haven't gone over budget then let this slide then NO MORE.. but only you know if it's worth it...

Fyggy - YEAH!!! Handing in you notice!!! Any choice words for your colleagues or shall you bow out gracefully and not burn bridges...?

Kerfuffle - sounds like a super MSE day for you.. I was off a night shift last night and it's SO nice sleeping during the day cause I kinda feel naughty but LLL's boyfriend is so loud I have had to tell her to make him stand away from my bedroom door when he talks....:rotfl:

Fmess - the takeaway is forgiven since the CC is being reduced as you munch....:T

I have managed to scrape a remaider £500 together to put aside to move house... I have £90 left for travel and £100 for food I think.... 2 more SFD's takes me to the grand total of 4.. (Whoopy) and I have made a donation to the Phillipines aid as promised... I am hoping the little brown envelope doesn't come through..

Right I have to go as I will get home around 2330 then have to create food for tomorrow and such like....

    See you all tomorrow....
