[*]You will aim for 15 SFD's only – I think that’s manageable
[*]Food budgets will be set in stone - £200
[*]“Spend” Money for anything else needs to be pre-agreed prior to the commencement of DDD - £200 MAX entertainment
[*]All money needed for the month for food or spends is to be withdrawn and placed in envelopes clearly marked for purpose – I haven’t tried this before so maybe it’s worth trying to do this?
[*]Drop one Christmas outing/party – Have already dropped an outing on the 19th – was going to have people over to mine but I’ve cancelled it.
[*]£5 of your food budget will be spent on the local food bank – they do this in my local Tesco so will do next time I’m in there.
[*]Batch cook now – made homemade sausage rolls at the weekend, they were LOVELY!
[*]Get a notebook – need to do this
[*]Choose a debt free date – October 2014
[*]Spending will be kept to a minimum – *nods head*
[*]Lunch will be brought from home everyday – easy peasy
[*]NO ENTRY to any sales in the month of DDD – can’t afford it so will stay away! (well at least till Boots have their 70% off sale as I get stuff for Xmas presents).
Yesterday was a spendy day but that’s because I did all, but one item,of my Xmas shopping! Yaay! No stressing on Xmas Eve for me!
I am out tonight after work so was wondering how I could do this withouteating out (I get hungry!). So I brought a roll with leftover roast dinner init to eat and I had soup for lunch. That should cover me! Got free tickets togo and see the ballet

Spend free day registered - being planned ahead makes such a difference ! (not that it should be a revelation...)
I pondered some goals today -
1 - I would like to save £5,000 towards a house deposit. Whilst living home is nice, it's not where I want to be forever.
2 - I would like to be declared "outstanding"
This is as far as i've gotten ...
Was given £10 Christmas money which has gone straight to my credit cardI will tell the giver it bought something nice (well it did when I used the card the first time...)

Hi All
Here is my target for this month.
1/15 SFD
8/180 Food Budget
£0/£5 Food Bank
0/£20 Sales Budget
Outing Commitment: 0/1
Planning to be Debt Free by 01/11/2018
I have already have one SFD to add, so off to a good start. Needed to get 1 final present and bedtime pants for my LO so ended up being a spendy day.
Now before you bite my head off I have submitted a £20 sales budget as my LO needs clothes.
Will edit later, I think I got my number wrong, appologies..toodles :j0 -
Hi All,
Well I haven't had a chance to post all of my budgets yet but will do this tomorrow when I can get on the laptop and find them.
So far I have had one SD on Sunday for some Xmas presses on line and my main food shop. Today was a SFD as I had a day at home with a tummy bug not sure I will make it in tomorrow either as still feeling rough.
I have made a meal plan for the month and having spent around £50 yesterday which is split between food budget and Christmas 'treats' I only need to buy fresh fruit and veg, milk, and maybe some bread oh and of course a turkey for the rest of the month. Result :T
I already batch cook and make extra meals regularly but will aim to do some baking for Xmas.
I will have to spend some time choosing which of my many notebooks I will use for this challenge and then spend even more time thinking of the challenges. No.1 should probably be to convince OH that we do not need to add 2 ducks to our family which already consists of the 2 of us, 5 dogs, 1 parrot and 3 chickens
Good luck everyone

1) Just checking in with NSD2.
5) Have decided against a Xmas-do that I have the chance to go to, it was only £5 but then there would be bar costs etc on top of that!
7) Have ordered mincemeat in my online shopping order, have everything else I need for HM mincepies, so first batch planned for the weekend!
8) Goals are still an on-going thought process... nearly there though!
Hope everyone's OK!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Cool!! Fantastic ideas!
Have set my budgets for this month, but a little differently from last month where I lumped almost everything under 'food'. I seem to have a lot of allocated money for spends and not very much left over at the end for saving/mortgage payment. Gulp! So I need/want to save/make an extra £150.
I've signed up to quidco and got frustrated with it without even managing to access a site. Grrrrrrrrrrrr! Am now ignoring it for tonight.
Also signed up to mus1cmagp1e and seem to have an awfully big pile for them that's not particularly worth much! Oh well, it's all pennies towards that £150.
I love the 5 goals/targets/ aspirations that people have posted. Mine are :
- reach 125lb weight
- get the mortgage down to £70K
- sew 14 items in 2014 (start by learning how to actually thread the pesky machine!)
- make pennies from knitting (dd's summer or Christmas fair 2014)
- ? (am sure I'll be inspired by reading other people's ones)
NSD 2 today; cooking/baking is ongoing; own lunches is a given; no sales is a pleasure; food bank will be doubled; 1 outing dropped; DFD ie MFD is a random date of 54 months away! (totally dependant on dh getting a job as otherwise totally impossible on my wage. And yes, Kat, impossible! Really. Honestly!)
Off to tell mm that Yes, I do want them to take my stuff for pennies...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
