  • Dodgy company to avoid at all costs! Taken £299 from my account all the same dodgy stuff that everyone else has had and now non of the lines are working. Just emailed them again to tell them I've put this in hands of the old bill. Don't expect to hear anything from "Steve" or "Julie"
  • My wife ordered a Henry Hoover from this outfit and a couple of days ago saw the comments on this site and of course was worried.

Seeing that they had taken the payment from the card we queried delivery and also our concerns about adverse comments on this site. (Spoke to Steve). He assured us they deliver vast numbers of appliances and have minimal complaints.

We stated we required the hoover be delivered with 24hrs otherwise we would cancel and go for a refund. We were assured this would be done. Sure enough we received a confirming phone call plus texts to say hoover with courier and low and behold this morning at 10.30am Hoover delivered. So less than 24hrs from making call.

We did have a list of actions we were going to take if we thought they were being obstructive, but did not mention these in phone call as gave them the benefit of the doubt .

    Were we just lucky???!!!
  • ever had that sinking feeling?
ordered a vaccum from this lot on the 12th, next delivery, next day was sunday so left it til monday night before contacting them, 24hrs later recieved short curt email to the effect "will check and get back".
i cancelled the order and as yet have no refund.
"shirley" says its passed to accounts. a quick google search on here in the mean time and ......oops. looks like im heading toward small claims. what a collosal pain in the preverbial.
if only id checked. normally quite thorough but vacuspares slipped the net.

avoid like the plague. ordered a dyson fan from them on 7th may, as previously stated, the website says no payment will be taken until item is in stock but payment was taken immediately.

now nearly 4 weeks down the line and still nothing despite numerous promises it is with a courier. refuses to say who the courier is or give a tracking number and now wont answer calls or emails requesting a refund.

having to try a chargeback through my bank which could take upto 14 days.

how these companies survive is beyond me.
  • DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. Ordered a vacuum cleaner and paid luckily with my credit card. They say that money is only taken out when the order is in stock and ready to be shipped which will take up to 7 days. Money was taken out immediately and no sign of the goods. After several phone calls and promises of delivery which never happened cancelled the order and asked for my money back and was promised this would happen in 4 days which of course it did not. Several phone calls and still no sign of my money. Had to get my credit card company to get my money back. Found out later that my money had been taken out of my account by a company called HAIERSPARES which I had never heard of. Have informed Kent trading standards of this companies activities.

Customer Service - somewhat poor in my case. I ordered an item (Dyson white fan) in May. Order confirmed immediately and payment taken, website clearly stating payment would only be taken if item in stock. On 19 June I contacted them to learn they had no stock of the coloured item ordered and they said would be receiving new stock with despatch in one week with my receiving delivery about 4 days later. Expected arrival end June.
By 14july no despatch details and no delivery. Sent 2 emails - one asking for despatch info and 2nd requesting full refund if they intended not to despatch. No response and no refund as at close of business today. Are they efficient? No! Are they a good company? Who knows? However they should not be taking payment until goods are about to be Despatched. • Just had an experience with this company and as far as telephone conversations go with them they score top marks, very polite very helpful, but I am afraid it stops there.
I ordered a Dyson from them and as the advert says they only take money for the item is in stock and as they took it immediately I assumed that I would receive it soon after.
I waited over a week and no product, so I phoned, they were very helpful said they guarantee delivery would be within two days, no show, so I rang again and to be promised it once again, no show.
I then cancelled and asked for return of my payment, it took 4 weeks and three phone calls plus an email before I got my money.
Not a good experience for me I am afraid.
  • I have reported them to my Credit Card Company as believe they are committing fraud as well as breaking Consumer Act. They need to be investigated. Frusto of London
  • Might want to consider this Companycheck.co.uk about Vacuspares
  • I've also been a victim of this scam company, happening right now. Placed my order on 19th July for a Dyson DC35, money taken promptly from my credit card and to date no delivery. I've had delivey promised from a Julie and a Shirley, but the day comes and nothing is delivered. They can't provide me with delivery details and tracking numbers. I've just rung my credit card company this morning to report and start the dispute to get my money back. Such a hassle and inconvenience. I'm going to report this story to BBC watchdog, think we should all do the same and hopefully they will get caught and shut down. They are taking people's money and earning interest on our money and not delivering the goods. I've lost interest now on my credit card. These are criminals and justice needs to be served. I am so annoyed.. Wish I saw this thread before I bought from them, but in future I will now check out a company before handing over my hard earned money.
May karma come back to these people 2-fold.
